[Quartermain]

Quartermain walked into the arena with his lithe sister in tow. When he saw the marquis displaying that Cloud had not chosen a partner. Not one to be outdone we wordlessly waved his sister off handing his various weaponry to her. He leaned calmly against a wall and waited for his opponent to arrive.

[Cloud Tetsuya]

It was another peaceful night in Alice Academy. Or it would be if Cloud didnt have a short temper. Cause right now at the battle arena the four towers which hold the light were on. And on one side of the field stood a boy with spikey blond hair and pink tips. He stood there in his normal battle graments. Shirtless and and shorts. No shoes or gloves. It was the best way for him to use his alice. And he was there crouching touching the ground.

He then grabs a hand full of dirt and rubs his hands together and then looks at the night sky and stairs at the stars. And he remembers a story his brother told him. In old times when heros fought in battle they would look at the sky and pray to the gods for help. And right now Cloud was doing the same. Cause right now he is going to right a winless battle. Where he would have to fight againt two oppents.

So he slowy stands up and shakes his head moving his long spikey bangs away from his face and his eyes start to glow as he gets ready for combat

" I have to learn how to controll my tempure "

[Quartermain]

His wealthy parents had made sure Quartermain was trained in the classics. The The Iliad, War and Peace,Things Fall Apart: these great stories all related, at some point, different battle rituals, but Quartermain had one of his own. He took a wide stance, flexing the muscles beneath his wife-beater shirt. He romved his beloved Yankees cap and focused intently on Cloud. Quartermain flicked himself once, stoutly in the forehead. He clenched his fists in preparation.

[Cloud Tetsuya]

Cloud looked forward at his oppent. And he slowy bends down and touches the ground and closes his eyes. He the raises up as a colom of dirt raises up at his right hand and it becomes a staff. And he stands there and holds it next to him. He then breaks it off and spins it around his body and spins around after.

He then gets into fighting stance of the chinese spear fighters. And he looks at Quatermain and knows the only way to beat this giant was to end it quickly. So he rushes forwards and he points his staff forward and then it slowy goes to the ground when he is close to you. And he uses it like a pulvote and lanches him into the air towards Quatermain. Weapon still in hand

And he spins sidewards in the air and uses the tip of the staff to hit your sholder .

[Quartermain]

Quartermain stood like a rock in the face of Cloud's charge. He intensified his focus on the boy so that his alice would kick it. When Cloud's spear entered Quartermain's shoulder a twin scar appeared on Cloud's body. Quartermain grunted. He wasn't expecting such an ambitious assault so early. Quartermain grimaced and grabbed the wepon pulling it out of his own body with a sickening pop. THe pain of the removal was worse than it entrance. "Cool trick." Quartermain quipped "But try this one." Without warning Quartermain drove his elbow straight into his own abdomen. The blow was incredible and knocked the wind out of the giant boy. He lost the bond with Cloud after he doubled himself over, but the damage would still be done.

[Cloud Tetsuya]

Cloud landed on the ground holding his stomich and coughed a few times. He rolls away from Quatermain and he gets up and holds his stomich and looks at him with watery eyes. And then it hits him like a mac truck. His alice was to do harm to his oppents with out touching them. And at that moment Cloud knew this battle was going to be a instent loss. Cause Clouds defrences were for physcial. Not Mental.

So he stands back up and takes a deep breath and says

" Alright time to get serious "


And he runs to the side and does a front flip. In mid flip when his hands touch the ground he pulls out a dull kunai knife and he tosses it to Quatermain as he finishes the flip. He keeps doing flips and tosses three more dull kunai knifes. And he the lands there and keeps moving around. Cause in his mind he was in motion Quatermain wasnt able to get a lock on him and cause him pain like last time.

[Quartermain]

Quartermain saw the first knife coming and rolled adeptly out of its way. The next three scattered around Quartermains legs, one hitting its mark. Quartermain thanked the gods that he had trained himself to take pain well; none of the thugs he fought in New York had this kind of skill. He stood and roleld his shoulders back watching Cloud hop about manically. The dance he was doing was distracting but all Quartermain needed was clear focus on him. He spun slowly follwing Cloud's path of movement, squinting in a effort to hold a sharp image of the boy. "Hold still ya runt!" For once Quartermain made no attempt to speak properly, slurring into slang as his anger rose. He reverted to good old fasioned street fighting tactics and bum-rushed Cloud, trying to tackle the smaller boy.

[Cloud Tetsuya]

He landed on his feet when you rushed him. And he grined knowing with your great size your rather slow. So he does a back flip and grabs a handfull of dirt and tosses it towards your eyes. Hoping it would blind you

" Aww whats wrong with the little thug? Looks like your brain dissappred and your musicles took over "

He then lands and jumps into the air and goes to a front flip drop kick to the wound he made with the staff. So that way he would be able to cause you some pain. And keep you down. After his attack he would contine running around and think about his next attack

[Quartermain]

Quartermain turned his head to avoid being blinded by the dust, this caused him to miss Cloud's flying attack. When the boys foot ground into Quartermain shoulder, Quartermain fell. But as with all airial attacks Clouds momentum carried him down as well. When the blonde boy hit the ground Quartermian instantly flipped over and grabbed his leg. Now Cloud couldn't get away, and his proximity and contact quickened Quartermains ability to focus on him. Rather than trying to life himself Quartermain simply made sure his alice was activated and slammed his own head several times into the ground. The pebbles tore into his flesh causing several new streams of blood to gush forth. "How's that for brain work, Mistah Cloud!" Quatermain roared animalistically.

[Cloud Tetsuya]

Cloud grins as he his head started to bleed and he says " The battle is over you dimwit. Your head is bleeding and according to rules the frist one to bleed loses. So game over "

He looks at Kurogane and says
" Quatermains out. He caused him self to bleed in our battle. "

And he pulls his leg and gets up and falls back to his knees dizzy and lays there and says " Nice try. But next time Quatermain. Think of better stragies if you want to become the victor "

[Quartermain]

"As my wounds are gained so are yours." Quartermain growled knowingly. Every cut inflicted on himself would mirror in an oppoent. A trail of blood dripped slowly from Cloud's head onto the ground. "This battle is a draw." Quartermain lifted himself and dusted himself off. "But you proved to me that this school will be filled with most worthy opponents. I salute your efforts and bid you call me simply Q. As a token of my respect for you." Quartermain bowed slightly and staggered off to rejoin his sister.

[Cloud Tetsuya]

Cloud grins while laying there and he says before Quatermain leaves " Can you do me a favor. Next time go after my friend Hiei. I think he deserives a good head smacks or two "

And he laughs and lays there and closes his eyes as he starts to rest. Battles like this makes him weak fast and he only hopes to wake up in the hospital later
