Currently, it is already 10:00 PM. Luna had no clue on what this place is called, but apparently, her goal right now is to sit upon a tree and to visit the moon's light beam. She wore her mother's necklace and the sky blue colored duster that her best friend gave her. She clenched tightly a paper and a pen. Her blond hair popped up behind her as she began to search for incredulous-looking trees to sit on. The moon began to rise up higher and higher in each step she took. The chirping sounds of crickets traveled from bushes and trees. But, her blue eyes never saw a cricket, not even a single, tiny one. Her bare feet was tickled by the sharp blades of grass installed on the ground. Twigs are crashing when she steps on them. Her hands were striking through the feeble vines that kept on blocking her from walking and desperately avoided herself from the harmful mosquitoes along the way. At last, she saw the most enormous tree nearby. She climbed up easily and sat down on its branches. She revealed her face to the moonlight and gazed at it for almost like five minutes. The circular shape and its light just cleansed her heart. As she halted her gaze to it, she decided to write a letter to her best friend even if she was already deceased. Luna, in any way, was in the atmosphere of sadness and silence. Her pen and the piece of paper she was holding remained available in her hands. She will have a chance to do what she was supposed to do like right now. She whipped her face in each direction. After all, she has the desire to hear only silence. Satisfied and contented about the absence of the noises, she started to land the tip of her pen on the surface of the paper. Dear Amanda,
How are you? I hope you are alright. I am just fine in the opposite. I miss you more than too much and I want to see your face again. I want you to know how much you meant to me so much as well as my mother. At least drop by in my dreams, got it? You shouldn't have protected me from danger, because it is obviously the cause of your death and it is all my fault. Do forgive me that I failed to protect you. I swear to the heavens that I will see you again.... soon. Truly Yours, Shanine Katanashi [/right] After writing the contents of the paper, she watched it slowly drifting away from her hand. She doesn't care on where it lands, as long as it doesn't expose itself to anybody, but her.

He could still remember the first time he was hired here in Alice Academy. Had it been a year ago now. The thug who hired him was fired. Even though it wasn't, he still felt as if it was him who was at fault. As a mere replacement, he was promoted without warnings. His jobs piled up and there was really, virtually no free time for him.
The poor guy was only twenty, too. Blessed with the natural ability of being able to finish his jobs, that too didn't help the enormous amount of work. Sure, he'll finish one in no time, but another one will come, and then it starts piling up. Perhaps he enjoyed the lower-rank position better than this one. All he could do was sigh though. Nothing else.
Helpless.
The second hand striked at twelve, the clock beamed its alarm exactly ten times. Ten o'clock. He knew that this time, every corridors and everyroom's lights are all switched off. The night fell in silence and darkness, only the stars and moon lightened the skies.
His stomach rumbled. Getting thinner and thinner by the day due to the amount of work which is keeping him from eating his daily proper meals. The robots are often bothered by pushing trays of meals over to the staff's work room and private working areas. Some of them may not even touch it, and leave the food until it gets cold. And totally forgot about them.
The fifteen-year old looking boy stretched, after piling up quite a number of sheets of plain photocopy A4 paper. Again it's with the paper work. He placed it aside and got up from his chair, placing his hands on his desk as he stood up. His stance, slouched, peering down at the wooden table enlighted by a simple study lamp.
He could hear the clocks ticking away time as he peered silently. Headache. His strands of hair seemed to be drawing nearer and nearer towards him and his table seemed to run closer to him. His vision's not blurred, but it is doubled. He blinked twice, after the series of dizzy-ness.
'Maybe I just need fresh air...'
He thought, once again forgetting about his meal. And it's been three whole days since he had eaten anything too. The boy was getting ill, he didn't quite capture that knowledge though, he slipped on his coat and shoes, winding the scarf to his neck, warming it up in the cold night of the nearly spring, where sakura trees are about ready to blossom b the twenty-seventh.
Taking the route to the north woods where the place was rural and a lot of greens are there, which meant a lot more oxygen than other places.
His head was throbbing with pain whilst his visions doubled once more, making it hard to decide and predict which one is correct. He leaned sideways to the trunk of a big old tree which seemed to be popular for the younger kids to climb on. He too, likes to climb it, but not today.
"Itai..."
He winced as he placed a hand on his ever so painful head. It felt like it was cracking open. This was the worst in a very long time. Of course, who would not be sick if they don't eat for three whole days? Then again, he didn't quite sleep that much either, nor did he even took a break from his work.
Seems like the quiet seasons are always the ones more busy than when the classes are held. A sheet of paper flew nearer. Was it one or two? In his eyes, there was two of them, slabbing straight into his face. That hit was probably nothing to a healthy one, but to him, it felt as if he was punched.

This place will be shrouded in a noiseless vale when she was currently completely alone already. She looked up towards the moonlight, her eyes reflecting the bright beam. As she felt a presence of a person just below her, she yelped. Slap!, she heard a sound. She was desperately trying to see where the source of the sound is from. Some kind of paper? Could it be that it was her letter? As she was climbing back down, she was praying that the letter was just slabbing against an object, but she was dead wrong. It slabbed against the face of a person. Sciaff!, she shoved it away harshly from the person's face.
"S-Sorry a-a-b-bout m-my carelessness, sir!"
She stuttered by the time she found out that he was one of the teachers or was she mistaken? With a gulp, she hid the paper behind her back. She backed away slowly, hoping not to ask unnecessary questions about what is behind her back. That happens to people recently and it resumes in daily life. Her head bowed down, shameful about what she has just done. A piercing silence rang through the night, though it's obvious. What could she say?
"I..."

He grabbed the sheet of paper, without even questioning it, letting it ride the wind once more. And really, if he wasn't experiencing a great thousand years' worth of pain, he would read it quickly before giving it back to the girl. Would that be, what you call childish? He is twenty years old. Though, with his height and his face, many people would mistake him as a senior. At least, that's what everyone's been doing.
"S-Sorry a-a-b-bout m-my carelessness, sir!"
Sir?
Did she just call him a 'sir'? My, that would be the first time and probably be the last time he'd be called a 'sir' for sure. Perhaps the whole 'head pain' in other words, great headache gave away the fact that he was stressing too much over something just clued the girl in knowing the fact he was actually a teacher over at Alice Academy.
He smiled, taking his hand off his head, still feeling a bit delirious from the whole vision. He could see two of them. The girl standing right before him. Not knowing which one, he smiled anyway, pretending that nothing happened, even though his eye was a directed a bit off from where the girl was standing.
"It's okay, really..." He said, calmly as if nothing ever happened.
"I..." The girl said once more.
Then the silence came.
Ihere was an eerie ring in the background, other than the cicadas chirping and the grass' wild howls from being swayed by the strong night winds that rocked to and fro.
"It.. It's okay. Really..." He said once more.
The doubled version of the girl was spreading. Now it really looked as if there was two of them. He squinted his eyes, trying to adjust them to wherever he was trying to look at. It never seemed to work no matter how hard he'd shut it tight, or how long he closed it for. Everytime he opened it, two objects of the same would appear in his eyes.

"Are you sure?"
Luna inquired with doubt. She noticed him working with his eyes just when she shoved the paper away from his face earlier. Whatever it is, maybe there's something wrong or maybe he is sleepy? She thought about this and this is kinda vital for her, which also means that she was also worried about him, not that worried, though. Because, he was kinda only adjusting his eyes, she would consider that as one of the symptoms of sleepy.
"I assume that you are sleepy?"
The little girl shrugged with furrowing eyebrows. Afterwards, she purposefully let the paper fly away from her cold hands once again, hoping that the teacher wasn't observing too much on the area, she carefully watched the paper sailing away out of the corner of her eye until, the figure of the paper had finally vanished. At this, she sighed in relief.

"I assume that you are sleepy?"
He smiled once more. He could swear under his breath calling the girl all sorts of names all at once. He, who had stayed up later than mere ten o'clock post meridiem, is not going to be sleepy at ten o'clock post meridiem. Lately his sleep border is five more hours than the current time. Yes, three o'clock ante meridiem, but he is usually forced to stay up later than the said time. Though at the same time, maybe the girl was right and he was sleepy. Without him knowing it at all, that is. Which is quite impossible.
"Uhh.. Not quite" He replied.
Cocking his head from side to side as his spiked hair rocked to each directions. He still viewed the same few, except the vision's now slightly blurred and it keeps changing depth. Either the real girl or the replica was closer than it was before to him. This is the first time he's ever experienced his. Wondering what could happen.
The headache-- It would have been much better if he had eaten his meal that was prepared neatly in a clean black tray, with a single fresh baked croissant and a glass of water, with vitamin C pills on the side. Though even if he eats them, the headache wouldn't fully go away. He'd still have a bit of pain lingering around due to the bad vision--
"I think..." He started, as he raised his eyebrows. "My eyesight's degrading..."

Though, it was like she was daydreaming and her vigilance is completely relaxed, she didn't catch a glimpse on a word he was saying. She slapped her head to shove herself away from the trance and decided to suggest something to him. She had a feeling that the long and short arrows are both starting to approach 11:00 PM, she wants herself to be unaccompanied by strangers, especially teachers. She wants to glance at the moon for at least a little longer, but she has to let him leave in a polite manner.
"I think you should rest. It is getting late."
She suggested as she was starting to feel her frustration arousing within her. Never did she met someone who stayed up this late and who tries to budge him/herself to "white lie" that nothing is wrong. For real, she has to retain her patience. This time, she crossed her arms while her right foot began to slide slowly to the side which forced her leg to make a slanting effect as well. She was getting pretty tired of standing on the area especially in five minutes.

Oh wow, there he was standing in pain, and there she was, not even listening to him. In fact, it felt very much as if she was the one with more power than he does. He was humiliated. At least he thinks that way.
"Why, miss?" He asked sarcastically. "Is it because you're sleepy?"
Wonder why Kenzo wouldn't even act up now that he knows the fact his eyes were degrading? He's usually very concerned about his and others' health situation.

Can't he understand that she was just trying the best of herself to help him? This is just a waste of time. She was even furious that she was interrupted in her moment of silence just like that a while ago. She hates it when an uncontrolled anger releases from her, so some people might think that she is slow in anger. She bowed down her head and smiled weakly with barrels of tears beginning to appear in the midst of her eyes.
"Go ahead and be sarcastic to me, one more time. I was just trying to help you. So, I will be answering your question, I am not sleepy in particular. I always venture out here in the nights and none of the people around here knew about this."
She explained and regretted that she exposed the whole situation to him. She can't reverse the time, so she will just expect the worse. He was the teacher after all. She was just a student, a student with a special gift that she holds dear as well. Also currently upset about every little thing, not that little. Well, those moments before, when she was a little girl, passed by.
Behind these forbidden walls, none of the people ever weeped because they missed her. Are there? She doubted that her father was. Maybe he didn't know all about the horrifying events that happened in her life. She squeezed her eyes closed and tears streaked down to her cheeks.

Tears rolled down from her eyes.
Was his sarcastic-ism that bad? Bad enough to make a girl cry, that is.
He rose from his slouching stance and straightened himself up. Blinking once or twice. He had the urge to pat her head and ask, but he really felt bad from what he said before.
"Umm.. was the joke too much?"

Nevertheless, she was still fearless enough to answer back. Crying can make her lost the ability to speak and can cause her physical weakness to reach its peak. A hint of sadness began to appear upon her face. As she heaved her face up, she flashed a vigorous smile.
"I assure you that everything is fine. It's just something else."
She reassured him. What else can she possible say? Flock such insulting words at him? Leaving him there is not a good choice either. Maybe she should just wait for other words that will suffice from his mouth or something else.
"What do you decide to do from now on?"

He shrugged. The more the two were standing there, the more time flies. Time was and still is precious. Time, is money, whatever. But at this sudden moment of loss, time flows faster than normal, them-- wasting minuets and hours of their life just being lost. Though they are only humans, nothing would be done if they do not have these moments of being lost.
He could only shrug as a gesture of unknowing what to do next. He had an idea of what to do, though not sure that he would like to. He certainly doesn't want to get a degreaded eye, not at his early twenties anyway.
"Probably.. head over to the infirmary and get an eye-test." He said.
He walked over slowly and steadily to the girl, stopping right beside her, her hand could just reach her shoulders. He was indeed a short young man, easiy mistaken to be a student instead of a teacher. Although it may annoy him sometimes, he quite liked that. He was, unique.
"Young lady, would you like to go to your dorms. I suggest you rest for the night. If you do not wish to do so, then it is your choice."

"I see."
She uttered in an audible tone. She never knew that an Infirmary actually exists in this Academy.
Breathing in and out in the impure air, she weakly thought that she was having a headache. There is no use of deflecting it away.
She felt the air rushing by as the teacher rushed by her too. To her surprise, he was right beside her. However, she couldn't feel a single spite of it.
'Young lady, would you like to go to your dorms. I suggest you rest for the night. If you do not wish to do so, then it is your choice.'
"I thank you for the advice. But, I would rather stay here to do something."
She responded in an insistent refusal.
