How many times had he entered this little dusty room, with countless of unused instruments lying on the floor? How many times had he sat before the grand piano sitting in the far corner, lifting the wooden case that concealed the marble keys? And how many times had he lost himself in the beauty of his music, and the melancholy of his thoughts? Truth be told, he didn't know. It must be countless. And he knew, in each attempt, there he met someone new or old.
He wasn't anti-social enough to detest meeting people. So it never bothered him. Besides, it helped him forget about his problems, and his current suicide plan.
There you have it. The boredom and loneliness had already gotten to his mind, planting a devastating yet calming thought that he could just lie down...and die. How tragic. How wonderful.
He stroked the fine keys laid before him (once more; it felt so natural now, sitting before a piano), deep in thought. He wondered what he wanted to play now. Perhaps a lighter song? He didn't want to be reminded of his angst, after all. Perhaps...just once, let him play a happier symphony.
He placed his fingers upon the keys, in position. Canon in D. That's it.
Of course, since he was used to playing songs like 'Fur Elise' and the 'Moonlight Sonata', the lighter and slower notes of this piece was foreign to him, and it took him a while to let himself be comforted by the tunes. Not that it was bad or anything. He played it well, just like the original, and he certainly enjoyed making music with the piano (regardless of the piece), so he let his discomfort go and indulged in the soft melodies his fingers let loose.

That's right, it was her very first day and she could hardly wait to meet new people. Back then, she was all so dramatized, hope she won't be the same thing in here. Well, she doesn't know if the pervasive pungent rumors of Satoshi exists here too. Better not remember about him.
Into a serene quietness, she brought her not-so heavy bags all the way to the Dorms Hallway and went to the appropriate room she was assigned to stay. As she was twisting the key in the keyhole, the door clacked -- already indicating that it was opened now.
She went inside and didn't spend some time to take a look in her new room's surroundings. She might do some impending labor here by fixing things up, but she decided to sort out things later in here. She tossed the key on her bed and placed her bags there beside it.
Closing the door, she ventured out, roamed around and didn't feel slight boredom. Nearby, she heard the familiar soft melodies she was once accustomed to play way back before. How she missed playing a piano. It brings back memories.
And it was lovely, nevertheless.
She didn't show a commiserating expression on her face, but she was vastly amused. Amused to hear the melodies of a piano again! The piano -- the paternity of the melodies -- she missed them all.
Entering this who-knows-what place with an ambivalent sort of hope, she saw a boy -- playing -- a piano. She neared him and clapped her hands -- but not that loudly.
"Nice."
She merely whispered the comment.

He brought his fingers down the keys all at once, causing the instrument to let out a chorused groan. He was finished anyway, so there wasn't any regret. But the unfamiliar voice and clapping completely irked him, and he couldn't resist at attempting to have whoever was behind him jump.
He turned, almost slowly, his face an expression of annoyance and surprise. It was a girl. Again. Why couldn't boys approach him instead?
"I thank thee for the compliment, however short and common. But I ask, what brings thee to this once silent auditorium?" he said, in his usual British accent of voice, quirking one eyebrow a little higher. Yes, he definitely did not know her- and it was quite a bother, really, but that was not how gentlemen reacted to their guests. Especially strangers, since first impressions always count.
"Would thee like to play?" he invited suddenly, half-smirking at his attempt. He had noticed not long ago her fingers that seemed used to the piano keys. And if he was correct, perhaps they could play something together...and honestly, that was a comforting thought. It would be nice to play a piece on the piano with someone else; he wouldn't be alone.
He moved to the right side of the long chair before the piano, indicating to her to sit down and show him what she's got.
[ooc: blocked. And yes, it's de ja vu. =_=;]

One of her resilience is to play a piano. Her single problem, which was her succubus, has its deceleration process -- as if it was just an aberration -- by the time she plays too. She stared at the instrument, one of her arsenal for all her troubles. Oh God.
'I thank thee for the compliment, however short and common. But I ask, what brings thee to this once silent auditorium?'
"Nothing. I just heard the sound of the piano keys which lured me here."
'Would thee like to play?'
Before she attempted to say something further, the boy invited her to play. With brighter eyes, she nodded prominently and sat down on the provided space of the piano chair. She doesn't care if this was a wile, it's been a very long time.
Perhaps, she will just play "Say Goodbye". One of her favorites. Though, the instrumental song sounds sad; it's tempting too. She instantaneously pressed the appropriate keys and was careful enough not to experience a single mistake.
The place was now radiated with a melancholic music.
She resumed and resumed her concentration until she accomplished.

He smiled softly as she continued her music, although melancholic. She finished the piece soon enough, and as she did, he nodded in satisfaction at her direction. He wasn't the type who go for words, after all; when it came to music, he was less vocal about things. Surprising, yes...but he had been taught that no words can ever describe a wonderful piece, or a perfect execution of it. And right now, he certainly didn't know what to say.
Instead, he flexed his fingers once more over the keys, persistent at beating the girl at her own game. She wanted angst? He'll give her angst. Another song, although foreign, came to his mind- and he wanted to play it since he knew it well.
Zanarukando Nite- whatever it meant- was the title of the song he was playing right then. Soft, dramatic, and sad; he could feel the notes bringing up memories of his own stories, and other's own- perhaps those of the author's? Whatever. He had his mind full of the music, and he couldn't give a damn about another's sob story. He really had no time for that.
It ended with with a low tone, and his fingers stayed where they were for a while. A smile crept his lips. He had done well. Turning to the side so that he could see his companion, he said his challenge. "An eye for an eye, eh? Why not have another go?"
