The rooftop always looked so much frightening than staring at three consecutive loops at a crazy roller coaster ride. She dicovered years ago that drops were far scarier than the gigantic loops that claimed causes of nausea.
The feeling of falling, of resisting the very pull of the god-like gravity was breath-taking, literally. When she was a child, she almost cried whenever the ride went to deep dives. The steepness was crazy as hell. The person beside her was screaming out of fear and delight, as she thought. However, she was screaming out of pure fear. She couldn't breathe well whenever the drop happened. It wasn't enough to traumatize her, but she feared fast dives more than ever.
What then, made her go up the roof top if heights reminded her of the swift dives of roller coasters?
"Risha," the womanly voice inside her spoke more frequently than before. "You either kill or be killed." Lust for murder was obvious in her tone. "It isn't much, Risha."
Ri took a step closer to the railings and then pressed her palm on them. She lifted her feet and stood on the metal perpendicular to the railings a foot off the ground.
"What do you want to do here?" The voice asked.
Ri didn't reply but her eyes searched far. Her white, smooth hair danced freely with the morning breeze because she had not a hat on. Her white, sleeeless dress that reached her knees flowed slightly. The skin that was blessed with such porcelain whiteness was beautiful in the sun.
Ri sighed as she moved to a higher rung--now, she was two feet off the ground. She looked pretty unsteady but her face was pretty passive. She bit her lip in deep thought, not minding the height of her stand.
