Jason sat in the Woods once more. This time he was sure that he was alone. He wasn't following anyone. No one was following him. He was finally at peace.
"Now," he said, "Que the annoying person that needs my help, or another scenario like that."
No sounds. Silence. Jason sighed once more. The wind blew his shirt farther open. He was wearing an unbuttoned, black dress shirt with nothing underneath it and dark blue casual pants.
Sighing once more, Jason catiously sat down. He felt that sooner or later, if he sat down, someone would come and ruin his perfect moment. He sighed one last time.
Suddenly Jason heard a noise. He stood up to greet the person. Brushing the dirt off of his pants, he said "Hello?"

Funny contradiction, really. He sighed and mentally whined to himself that sooner or later, someone would disturb his moment of peace and when someone did approach, whether or not it was to talk to him, he would stand up from his comfortable and peaceful spot and greet the person. He would receive no reply at all, for instead of an approachable individual who liked company and random conversations, he had the unfortunate fate of crossing path with the Student President, Hiei Valentine.
The young male was wearing a orange hoodie and a pair of dark blue jeans. The hoodie was hung over his head, though it played no part in covering his face from view. At least, except his forehead, which was covered up by his black red-streaked fringe. His crimson eyes gazed into Jason's, his calm face completely void of expression. Most people would think him as weird, as a freak, but in the Academy, who isn't? The society had labelled them as freaks, so what difference would it make calling him one now? Let's also not forget the fact that Hiei does not even give a thought as to how people think of him.
And besides, who'd dare call him a freak right in his face?
"... Hey."
He would reply, his voice low and his tone calm. His fingers twitched inside the front pockets of his hoodie, the Student President looking at the younger boy standing in front of him. The 5'9'' tall 3rd year student seemed inferior to the 6'1'' tall boy who stood in front of him, but anyone who had been around the Academy long enough knew it was the complete opposite.
Even without his Alice, Hiei was not someone you want to mess with. Must be why he was Student President.

"... Hey."
Yep, Jason thought, letting out another deep sigh, Here we go.
Instead of saying anything, Jason waited for his newest aquaintance to do the talking. He stood at his full length. He felt more comfortable that way. Though they both looked pretty tall, he was sure that the other boy was at least a little intimidated by their size differential.
It was still silent. Not even the crickets were chirping anymore. It seemed that the only creatures in the Woods at that time was Jason and him.
Jason smiled. This is what he wanted after all, a peaceful, quiet morning. The only thing that he didn't want was to have to share it with someone, which looks like what he'll have to do. Deciding to wait in his own way, Jason resumed sitting and continued to stare at the boy.

And he sits back down. Hiei looked at him, not sure whether to be amused or not at his attitude. Hiei walks by, gets his path blocked by some guy who stands up from his seat and greets him, and sits back down again without saying anything. The Student President was not sure whether he was too friendlt, or he was messing with him. If it was the latter, Hiei was going to make sure that he regretted having even thought of doing so.
Jason was wrong in plenty of ways. One, Hiei was not one to do the talking. He hated conversations, especially when it relevated onto something that does not seem serious to him. Two, Hiei was not at all intimidated by the 4 inches difference between the two. Being taller had its disadvantages, after all, and Hiei knew full well how to exploit those disadvantages, if he ever needed to. And three, he did not have to share his morning with Hiei, cause the older boy did not want it.
With his path cleared, Hiei let out a disapproving grunt towards the boy, before walking past his seated person. That was totally random and unnecessary. From his sighs, Hiei guessed that Jason did not really want Hiei there in the first place. If so, then why the hell did he stand up, greet him, and then sit back down? He could just have ignored Hiei, just like how Hiei was ignoring him then? And better yet, who the hell stands up, greets and then sits back down without saying anything? True, Hiei knew he was well-respected around here, but not to such an extent that everyone needed to stand up when he was around.
"... Idiot."
Hiei muttered and for once, he hoped to God that the boy had heard him. Honestly, he had done nothing but waste his time and slightly - just slightly - annoyed him. There was one question left in his head, though. If Jason DID hear him, what was he going to do about it?

"... Idiot."
Jason was used to insults, so this did nothing to him. After all, he doesn't even know him. And since he was trying to make friends and not enemies, the right thing to do is to be quiet and leave the remark alone.
"Everyone is entitled to their own opinions," he finally said to the boy. He stood back up. "And, in my opinion, you are some freak that needs to leave me alone."
Jason gave the boy a smirk. Now it was his turn to react. He began to walk towards a tree that was nearby. Still smirking, he waited for the boy to do whatever it was he was going to do.

If Hiei could, he would laugh. The boy certainly amused him with his foolishness. Hiei stopped in his tracks for a moment, his left foot sliding backwrads the soil below him, the older boy turning himself around halfway, just enough to see Jason. Seeing the boy stood up, Hiei found himself waiting. Waiting for something to happen, but in the end, the boy started to walk in a different direction. Disappointed, Hiei replied.
"So says the one who stood up just to say hi to me, before sitting down again."
Hiei once more thought about the word freak. Funny, really. Hiei was not at all offended. He was a freak, he knew it well. That was, after all, their social title. On the top was the wealth, and then the average, and then the slum-residents and finally, at the very bottom, was the freaks. Or better known as Alice-users. Hiei had been outside more times than Jason had. He had experienced many dangers in his life, a large majority of them part of the society that threw them into the Academy where they would be contained and kept away from the non-Alice-users.
And yet, Hiei walked. Not only that, but he kept on fighting. He kept on fighting the very people that restricted them and prevented them from living lives as they want. And now, those very same people have taken away the reason they were in the Academy, the only reason they have suffered more than others, and yet, they stayed here. And only Hiei knew why.

"So says the one who stood up just to say hi to me, before sitting down again."
Jason chuckled at the boy's words. He was right. He was a freak. But then again, who wasn't? In one way or another, everyone, Alice-user or not, was a freak.
"Apologies," Jason said, trying not to make any powerful enemies. Or any enemies, really. He was tired of fighting. He knew it was too late to try to start over, but he could at least give the boy a name.
"My name is Jason. Of course you probably already knew that. And you are....?"
Of course this was his way of changing the subject, but he wasn't sure if this guy knew that or not. And quite frankly he didn't care either.

"My name is Jason. Of course you probably already knew that. And you are....?"
"No, I probably didn't know that."
Hiei replied bluntly. This was the first time the two had met, and Hiei figured the boy he unfortunately had for company did not have that big of a reputation yet, so how the hell was Hiei supposed to know his name? He was tired of fighting, huh? Funny. That was pretty much the only thing Hiei did. And the only reason the Academy still stood. Cause Hiei, and a handful of others, fought. They fought to protect what was their last home, their last family. Some others here in the Academy were fortunate to have homes and family outside the Academy, where they could flee to, but Hiei had neither. What was his family were all dead, his father thanks to him.
With that, he turned back towards the direction he had initially been heading to, turning his back to Jason. He took a step forward, before stopping once more, his voice travelling from his lips to his surroundings. That includes Jason.
"It's Hiei Valentine, your very own Student President."
Oh, right in your face. Without another word, Hiei started ot walk off.

"It's Hiei Valentine, your very own Student President."
Whatever. It didn't matter to Jason. Being Student President is nice and all, but not having a title to have to be idenified by was the way Jason liked to live.
And besides, fighting this boy would be wrong. It also would serve no true purpose. No matter how different they may be, they're both in the same boat. They are both considered freaks and outcasts. And either they both stand together or they both burn together. Since Jason wasn't very fond of dying, he'd rather stand with someone he didn't get along with and fight beside him than stand tied up next to him and be set on fire.
"Well, I guess I'll be seing you, Mr. President," Jason said to Hiei's back. He didn't want to make enemies, but it seemed that was all he was making.
Forgetting this Hiei character, Jason returned to his thoughts. Sighingly he said to himself "Well so much for that one!"
