The North Woods. For some, it was a famous place to hang out at. For others, it was a place to stay away from. And from a particular special few, it was their own training grounds. In this group of 'particular special few', there was a young male named Hiei. Also known as the Student President. It was a Sunday, and like all Sundays, Hiei would take some time off his presidential work and train here. Though, nowadays, he had been training more, specifically at night. After all, having lost the ability to use his Alice, Hiei knew that he would have to find other ways to defend the Academy, and what better way than to use the martial arts skills that he had already grown up with.
Hiei leapt up into the air on his left foot, his right foot placed behind him as he jerked both arms towards his left, bringing his air-bourne person spinning towards that direction. As he did, he stuck his right foot outwards, sending a spin kick at the air in front of him. Landing on his left foot with his back facing his imaginary opponent, Hiei let his natural instinct take over from here. Without even a second thought or a second of hesitation, Hiei's left foot left the ground, his right foot replacing its role as his stand. With that, he shot out with his left foot at his imaginary opponent. A spin kick and a back kick, two of the most powerful kicks in the martial arts world, in succession. Certainly a formidable combonation of attacks.
Hiei pulled his left back, pivoting on his right foot so that he faced his imaginary opponent once more. Then, raising both hands, he got into a simple boxing stance, both arms placed in front of him and fists clenched. Hopping once on both toes, his right arm shot forward, his sweat taking into the air as his arm reached its stretch limit. He retracted that fist, following up with a left uppercut, before hopping away from his 'opponent'. Training. That was part of Hiei's lifestyle. It was his hobby, for a lack of a better word.
The young male wore but a pair of shorts that reached past his knees and the muscle shirt, which hugged the muscles of his body nicely, that was to be his restrictor. A black shirt that seemed to have wires intertwined with the strings that made up the shirt. And on the chest, above the heart, the same restrictor that everyone wore was attatched. It was the government's prototype restrictor against powerful Alices, and it worked pretty well too.

Oh my God.
"Oww."
My heart was resounded with a light, gnawing alarm when I saw blood seeping out from my cut. If only I didn't use that knife to slice the apple. Everytime I hold a knife, my hand trembles uncontrollably -- which often leads to wound accidents. I dashed for the bathroom and wrapped a tissue paper around my wound. Now, that's better, but the painful feeling still remains. Oh well. Fine! I don't want to eat anything anymore. Despite of being hungry, I won't crave for any food now. I ventured out, I'd do anything to make my day more glorious.
Thanks to my dazing-outness, I stumbled into another place -- another kind of place which I actually don't know. Could be the woods, because this lieu is just full of trees and bushes. Both pining and healthy trees inevitably catches my eyes. Nevertheless, this place looks grandeur? Well, I don't know what to comment, but I guess I'll roam around here for a while -- until I will get lost or something. I was definitely vexed that I didn't find anything special here. The mere things in here are just the consistent elements of the woods and nothing else -- and a boy.
Wait, a boy! But what the heck is he doing there? I just watched him from afar, but we are not too far away, you know. I was silent and blunt. I don't know what to say or do. I just watched him. Damn.

A presence? Hiei was no psychic, and he had no Alice, but he could tell if someone was looking at him or not. Think of it as a sort of the sixth sense of a fighter. Hiei stopped his training, his shoulders and chest rising and sinking at a rather quick pace, the young male breathing heavily, slightly exhausted from his training. Glancing around, he soon found his crimson eyes fixating on a blonde female standing a considerable distance away, staring at him. Hiei peered at her through his black red-streaked hair, wondering how long she had been there and what the hell she was staring for. Turning to face her completely, he pointed at her with his right hand, beckoning for her to come to him.
"You, over there!"
Hiei voiced out, calling for the blonde. She looked like a new student. That meant only one thing. She did not recognise the Student President. After all, it was only yesterday that he had returned and he had yet to announce it, which would be the next day. Hiei put his hand down, waiting for the girl to approach. Whether or not she would was the question in Hiei's head. It was time to see if his reputation was known to the new students. After all, there was only one student with black-red hair, and that was him.

'You, over there!'
I was startled when I heard his spastic voice -- seems spastic to me, but I didn't show a startled face. He was gesturing for someone to approach him now. Who? Of course me! I gave myself a mental kick for not realizing that too quickly. My stoic, outside self was still exposed as I approached bravely to him and stopped dead in my tracks when I was already efficiently near.
Is he going to yell at me for staring at him for a very long time? Well, the reality would just hit me right between my eyes. I need not have a reverie right now, his hair is scaring me. Alright, no hard feelings, I should bow down over and over -- but I should just regain my composure. I concealingly checked my wrist again, the restrictor was still latched unto my wrist.
What the hell will he say now?

Spastic? Spastic?! If there was a list that contained all the words that oppositely described Hiei, spastic would be at the top, followed by hyper, stupid and weak. Fortunately, of course, Hiei could not read minds. The girl then started to approach him, though with that, she received no reaction whatsoever from the Student President. As soon as she stopped in her tracks, Hiei judged that it was the time to speak again.
"How long have you been there?"
He asked, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. Out of everything, Hiei hated being watched during training. It felt as if someone was spying on him, analysing his fighting style and then finding weaknesses among them. Something Hiei did not need. Especially now, when he had lost his greatest weapon. His Alice.
His blood-red eyes looked into hers, the crimson hues seeming to illuminate under the rays of the Sun that were able to seep through in between the spaces between the overhead canopy of leaves.

'How long have you been there?'
"Not too long and not that long. Just seconds ago. It's just been a while since I saw a person in training."
I explained rather bluntly. I don't want to act like a geek chick in front of him. But my explanation is true. It's also been a while since I spotted a person in training. All I saw before -- back in my town is that people just brandishing their knives back and forth in the air. It's just no doubt that they were practicing or should I say: training. One of those reasons: to protect someone -- I heard that from my mother. Right now, I have no idea on why this guy is so immersed in his current business, even showing prominent efforts to succeed in his training.
Yeah, succeed. Maybe he has a similar reason?
Oh, such a deft explanation to give out, Hana-chan! I mocked myself mentally. Despite my experience in massacring my own mother, I still didn't look so miserable -- in the outside. Not on the inside. Uh, well, I probably didn’t pull stupid things on a whim or a feeling of ineptness. I steadfastly stared at the boy whom I don't know. I don't even care on what will definitely happen next. Slaughtered, laughed, punched or whatever. Man, I'm so negative. Even right now, I felt the urge to leave. Unfortunately, my footwear was still glued to the searing ground.
