Something has been taken away from her. Only that...
...she didn't know what it was.
With sparkling oceanic eyes, she watched the sky stretch above her. It was clear. There weren't any clouds. It was blue.
Hime had always enjoyed gazing at the sky in the Academy's rooftop. Somehow, it was the place she find most peaceful. Not many students hang out there, that's why it's the best.
Yes--a loner--it's what she had become. It's sad how she ended up like this. How? She had no idea. She tried looking back, but it was of no use. There's a huge gap in her memories. The girl herself had amnesia in her early stage of life, but whatever her real identity is, she had let it go, just as the waves depart from her feet back in her sea-side home. She had a new family--the Mizuno brothers, and that's what mattered most.
But now...where her brothers are is some place she cannot go to anymore. She is stuck in this Academy...with only herself, and pieces of fractured memories. For how long must things stay like this?
The blonde girl had not change much in the past months. She had only gone paler, and her hair grew longer. It did not change much too, it was still tied in its usual pony-tail, held by a piece of tattered light blue cloth--the ribbon that she and Hiei cherished for about a year. He had returned it to her after they "parted" ways, but she wouldn't remember it, would she? After all, her memories of him were all gone. Except for the one where they first met, and that event happened to have occured in the very place she was standing on. Back then, Hiei was leaning his back on the very railings where Hime was leaning her elbows on.
Coincidence? It would be more than that.
Destiny? Hime doesn't believe in it anymore.
What is it then?

They were minors, and yet again, he was reminded by the fact that he was acting much far from his age of thirteen. And because of the constant battle of his age and the barriers connected to it, he decided to get away and hide where else?
The elementary roof top.
Saint was cautious as he went his way up, avoiding as much people as possible. He steered clear of other students and teachers, sneaking almost ludicrously to the top floor. When he got there, he was in pure bliss.
"Time for a stick." He whispered to himself as he pulled out a white box from his pocket. He counted the sticks of nicotine, computing if the number he had would last, and then pulled one and placed it between his lips.
Saint rummaged his other pocket for his lighter but when he felt that it wasn't there, he rolled his eyes in dismay. Now how could he put himself at ease?
With the cigarette still in between his lips, he looked around with sheepish eyes behind those orange shades. He moved around a bit, taking silent, slow steps.
The morning breeze that matched the sea-like blue skies reminded Saint of the beaches he saw in post cards. Being in London, and orphaned at a young age, he never got to see beaches for real. In jeans and white polo shirt, he opened two buttons of his shirt and gazed around, pretending he was in one of those white-sand beaches of Philippines.
He continued his sauntering until...
...a flash of gold met his eyes.
There was a girl--pretty cute at that--whose eyes were directed to the endless stretch of the sky. Her blonde mane was tied with an old looking blue ribbon that seemed to have suffered much passing time. Her eyes were as blue as the sullenness he could feel emanating from her.
Maybe he didn't need a stick after all.
Saint walked towards her, placing his elbows on the railings, imitating her.
"Good morning." He smiled.

"Good morning."
Those two words were no more than ordinary for anyone who hears them, but Hime wondered...how come the same two words rung sweetly in her ears?
Her head slowly turned, the same time the wind changed course, following the direction where she was facing now. Her hair and dress gracefully followed its gentle blows, hugging her delicately curved petite frame or brushing against her here and there. Her gentle eyes rested on the boy in a gaze somewhere near blankness and sadness. It remained like that until the girl finally gathered the courage to smile back.
She did, only that it caused much effort than it used to. What came out was a sad smile.
"Good morning to you too."

Saint could have sworn that the breeze was like a transparent lace than shifted with the movement of the blonde's head. It even heightened her sadness that drew him to stare closer into those eyes. Her gaze was unfathomable, almost painfully deep. He could not decipher what was in her head.
"Good morning to you too." A reply from the girl took him back to the present.
Her sad smile disturbed Saint a lot more than his face could express. The cigarette stick remained hanging between his lips before he slightly jerked and stuffed it as quickly as possible back into its pack. He fixed his orange shades and then expelled a gentle laugh as if to excuse his vice.
"It's rare to see a pretty girl with such a smile." He nodded to her obvious sullen beam. He shifted his weight to his right arm and then made a long shot look at the blue sky once more.
"The sky's nice." He said almost inaudibly. "The name's Saint." He turned to her before facing the heavens again. "And you are?"

OOC: EMO POST, but hell, I NEED TO DO THIS. YES! Hime's gonna get her f*cking memories back whether she likes it or not! D:
The boy seemed kind, gentle...strong. Hime was the kind of person who studies people she comes across with, and she's definitely the kind of person who often misjudges...or she just trust them too much.
She saw him took the stick away from his mouth, and it appeared to her like it was an act of being a "gentleman". Apparently, it was, because she doesn't like the smell of burning nicotine that much. She thanked him silently, but before she can even think of anything to say, he already started the conversation.
"It's rare to see a pretty girl with such a smile."
Hime burst into a sudden flush. She lowered her head, her hair covering most of her cheeks as she waited for it to pass. Although she knew it had a negative twist into it, she thought it was sweet.
"The sky's nice."
Nice? Yeah, it is. Hime had always admired it. When she looks at the sky and the eternity it stretched before her, she feels as if her other self was calling out to her there. Sometimes, she wonders...does the sky have anything to do about her past?
"The name's Saint, and you are?"
Hime paused. She looked at him with the same gaze once more. A question asking about your name isn't so hard to answer, is it? How come she doesn't know what to say? The way he asked it seemed so genuine and real. She wanted to tell him the truth, but what if she doesn't know the truth?
Hime's lips parted, but they didn't say anything. Instead, she stood still, dress and hair still fluttering gently with the wind.
And then, it hit her.
"Your existence is a lie."
The horrifying voice rained down in her head like lightning, and it brought her to her knees. She nursed her aching head with a hand, the other one supporting her weight as her legs lay folded on the cement rooftop floor.
"I...I'm..."

Saint was a nice guy especially to girls who seemed to be nice themselves--the trusty ones. He was obsessed with the idea of flattering them, of getting their esteem high. A person-pleaser that he was, he wanted to keep them from those guys who wanted to use that trustiness to keep them at bay, chained to their chairs like lap dogs licking their feet at their every whim.
His slight glance to his side enabled him to catch the quick flush that invaded the silent girl's cheeks. He was amused by how she looked down. Definitely, she was his type. Gullible toy in the eyes of many men, yet a fragile doll to his.
Saint had parted his lips to ask the blonde girl of her name but it took her some seconds to reply. Maybe she didn't hear him.
He turned to see her after placing his shades hanging onto the rim of his shirt. He found her parting her lips but no voice came out. Only the dancing of her hair and clothes replied to his question.
"Hey, if--"
Thud.
The girl was on her knees, her hand clamped to her head like it was to burst anytime. "I...I'm..." She muttered despite the obvious pain.
Saint almost panicked when he dropped to his knees and held her by the shoulder. "Hey!" He could have shaken her because of anxiety but instead, he looked around as if he could ask anyone for help. It was apparent that they were alone.
"God..." he whispered before brushing her bangs off her forehead for him to see her face. "I'll get you to the infirmary."
Cold sweat trickled down his temples as he positioned his arms under her. He looked at her twice or thrice, assuring that she made no protests, before scooping her from the ground like a princess in daze.
A princess, indeed.
