((OOC: Guys only… unless of course you’re interested to participate in shoujo-ai, which, personally, I don’t recommend. =__="))“Love story ga hoshii…” The empty academy corridor echoed with the sound of her footsteps and a small sigh escaping from her lips. It’s very unusual to see this certain French lady as silent as this; she’s usually very ecstatic, very sadistic, very extreme, to say the least. Everything has been slow around the academy that there came times that she wanted to escape from this place. It wasn’t worth her presence anymore, as she would like to put it. What’s more, her ‘ soeur’ has been surprisingly unspeaking as well. Despite her attempts to communicate with her so-called twin, she just couldn’t make the persona inside her talk anymore. Still, this occurrence doesn’t bother her at all though—times like these actually happened to her twice or thrice a year. Perhaps her sister needs occasional retreats from the girl’s inner ramblings. Despite her lack of enthusiasm for the day, her fashion senses certainly did not falter. Clad in a rather elaborate dress, she continued to tread the rather somber hallway; her platinum tresses swinging to her every step. Another sigh was let out from her ashen lips; the sunshiny morning could never be any more dreary. With that thought in mind she stopped abruptly, unconsciously tilting her head towards one of the vast windowpanes. The lady’s hair was kissed by a warm ray of sunlight that penetrated through the glass window, turning some parts of it into a somewhat colorful tinge. As if in a daze, the young woman stayed that way, her dark auburn eyes staring blankly outside.

"Mabushii sugiru..."
Really, the sun of 'the land of the rising sun' indeed. It was way too bright. No matter how much curtains you cover your window with, light still manages to penetrate through the tangible objects. Well, if it wasn't then it wouldn't be called nihon now would it?
On a free day, the thoughts of young people will tell their brains to sleep more. But with the sun shining so brightly on a morning, there is no way he could ever continue his earlier peaceful slumber. Scrunching up his eyes, he rubbed then before throwing an arm over the eyelids covered eyes.
Sometimes just wishing that he wasn't in the land of the rising sun, but maybe he just loves it too much. Yet where he lives right now doesn't seem like the Japan he once knew when he was a bit younger than what he is right now. It was a totally different world, where he doesn't even speak Japanese anymore. Not really anyway.
Neatly folding his covers before stepping on the floor bare footed, he then kneeled down on the floor, looking under his bed to find his slippers had been underneath where he was sleeping. Reaching out to the pair of black slippers, he then slipped his feet in it and walked towards the bathroom, fixing his looks before he heads out towards the academy building.
His faint footsteps could barely be heard, as he walked normally, but quietly. As usual from the boy, who doesn't really talk much. Unless he has to of course, that's an exception. Or when he feels like it. And mornings are not the time.
Something, or rather, someone caught his attention. There she stood like an expressionless doll out the window with her neat dress on. Yet why would she be here in the first place? He, who had stopped just to scan the female figure then started walking again, towards the girl.
"What's wrong?"

Slowly she inclined towards the source of the familiar voice. Still with her expressionless look, she opened her mouth to speak.
“Nothing’s wrong,” she answered bleakly, squinting her eyes for a short while.
It took quite some time before her eyes were able to adjust—she was staring directly at the bright daylight, after all. A few blinks did the trick, and soon her eyesight went back to normal. Recognizing who the person was, the Lady immediately turned her body towards him, her high-heeled boots clacking against the marble floor. With an unnoticeable smile forming across her face, she looked outside the window once more, this time with a hand above her eyes.
Although the sun shone brightly, it didn’t mean it was hot. In fact, it was quite cold, considering that the yuletide season was just around the corner. And even though her ruffled skirt seemed too short for comfort, her clothes actually kept her perfectly warm. The rather flamboyant cape was a nice touch as well. Yes, she did look like a life-size doll—complete with the costume-like outfit, flawless radiant skin, and a blank expression on her face.
“I hate mornings,” she stated, her voice indicating a whole lot of apathy. “Do you hate the mornings too, Kurosagi?”

A face the boy clearly recognizes as the girl turns around to face the young boy. She looks rather different than what he had last seen her, but there is no mistake. She even knew his name this time too, and a bit.. nicer? Then again, he had only encountered with her a few times, not enough to judge her real personality. And so the speaking-walking doll had stated that she disliked mornings.
"Yeah..."
He started as his interest was then piqued by the bright rays coming from one single window. Showing the solid dense frame of the academy's window on the clean, shining tiles. He then looked back from where he had came from. As he had expected, the corridor's floor was filled with these window frame images on the tiles. The day was bound to be as nice as a painting though. The bright morning rays said so.
"I hate it in Japan."
Of course. Anyone would. Those annoying rays which penetrates to anything just to wake you up from your tight slumber. And it would have been pretty annoying for the dreamers too. Those dreaming of something nice. Though it might be a plus for those having nightmares. And those who are just lazy would get up, and those who are usually early wakers are thankful.
"I hate it in other countries too.."
Why is that? Well, young children are meant to hate the mornings anyway. Unless they're quite abnormal. To put it in a more simple way, mornings are boring. Apart from the stunning sunrise, it's boring.
"And overall, I hate mornings."
The boy then folded his arms and leaned on the wall next to him. Tilting his head up slightly, viewing the ceiling.
"But what if there were no mornings?"

Mornings in other countries, huh? She wouldn’t be one to remember. In her native France she would always hide in the narrow alleyways, fending for her own welfare in the darkness despite her very young age. Those times weren’t exactly the best things to remember, however she owes everything that she is now to her horrid past.
She couldn’t remember the days when the sun shined as bright as this morning in that country—that distant country where she was born and molded. Come to think of it, she couldn’t remember anything of that foreign land anymore.
Within a few moments, the bright sunlight gradually subsided. At that she gently let her hand down, looking towards the boy who now leaned by the wall. What he last said certainly sparked the young mademoiselle’s interest.
Yes, what if there were no more mornings? Without hesitating, she’d probably answer say ‘good riddance.’ She wouldn’t say that because she’s lazy or hates waking up early. After all, she has been accustomed to wake up even before the crack of dawn. The night had always been her favorite time of the day, and she loathed the mornings for being so damn bright. She couldn’t shine during the day. She couldn’t possibly oppose the brightness nature emits.
The silver-headed girl simply grinned.
Slowly she walked towards Kurosagi, stopping when she was already directly in front of him. Perhaps he already realized that she wasn’t being normal self. She wasn’t being the primadonna that she had always acted. And what she would do next certainly doesn’t project the typical ‘Madeleine.’
“You… do you remember my name?”

Not to say that he liked the day as much as the night, but it is thanks to the day that crops would be grown and many food and timber are produced. Not that, it doesn't matter to him, since it does matter. He wasn't a day-child though. He prefers the night, it's much more peaceful, and he was that kind of person.
Quiet.
He does talk, only if necessary.
Once again he looked at the window for a brief moment as the light wasn't so bright, and it wasn't so painful to look at the outside. The sky was blue, with a few clouds. It was, indeed beautiful, but it still doesn't compare with the jeweled nights.
His eyes then followed the young lady's footsteps as she stopped in front of him. Why even bother to do so when he was nearby her already?
“You… do you remember my name?”
Ah yeah. He had forgotten that girls likes it when people remember their names. Of course he remembered her name though. For someone he rarely even meet, she was in his class, or use to before Arose had moved him due to Shugo's wants. And she was also in the band, or use to before they had disbanned in such a short while.
So much for "Eien" as the band name, huh?
His lips formed a forced smile, before opening it.
"Of course I remember your name, Madeleine"

Strangely enough, the French accent in the girl’s voice was more dominant, although it really doesn’t matter right now. After all, she hailed from France, but still, it was quite unusual since she could already speak in this land’s native tongue. Her vanity, perhaps?
“Ah, so you do remember,” she replied, moving to the side of the boy as she leaned against the wall akin to him, closing her round eyes in the process. “Do you know what that name means?”
Quietly ‘Madeleine’ opened her eyes and stared forward, without flickering her eye lids. There was a slight moment of silence, and then she directed her attention to the young man beside him. With a smile on her face, she started, “Some say it means ‘one who is from Magdala,’ in reference to Mary Magdalene. Others say it means ‘the most devoted follower of God,’ perhaps because of the fact that Mary Magdalene was the most devoted follower of the Christ.”
She articulated a lot of knowledge towards the meaning of her name, despite the fact that she had many of it. If somebody heard her full name, or at least what she believes is her full name, they would say it’s absurd. But of course there are far more bizarre things than her rather lengthy forename.
Silence.
In a few seconds it was followed with an expression of amusement; a laugh.
“Do you believe in such things? Would you believe in such things?”

Sudden question about the doll-like girl's name. It didn't matter to him what it meant, but it was interesting to know. Hence he only shook his head once, and listened to the explanation of her name. 'Madeleine', to him is just a common english name for girls. So is 'Tatsuya' in Japan, only guessing it was the same for France.
So it was a religeous name. Perhaps it often appears in the good book. Of course, he wasn't so sure himself. It's been a long time since he had touched it in the first place. He blinked, still having a rather tired appearance. His slouched posture and half opened eyes. The wall behind him kept his frame still, using the vertical to support his standing body.
He was a silent boy, as everyone would have probably guessed in their first go. Keeping his mouth shut was probably the second best thing he could do. Well, for someone who's been dumped at a boarding school from a very young age, and spending his time alone in his own dorm, it is pretty normal that one would get very good at not talking. Even if the air was an awkward mist.
Shrugging to the french girl's second question, he peeled himself off the wall and relucted himself back on it. This time with one leg up against the wall. His right leg was the only post which keeps his balance.
"If you say so.. "
The truth was, he doesn't really know. But all he could count on is what he knows right now, no?
"If what you say is the truth, then I'll believe it. But what I don't know is wether it is the truth or not." He said.

The mademoiselle noticed the hint of disbelief in Kurosagi’s answer—however, she merely disregarded it. It didn’t matter to her whether the boy would completely refuses to accept such fact or not. And why should it matter to her anyway? Whenever she lies she doesn’t give a hoot on whether people believe in her, what more when it comes to truths?
That aside, the young lady tilted her head away from the boy’s direction and stared forward once again. There was only the resonance of their voices, and a couple of barely audible sounds from outside. The corridor stayed empty, leaving the two of them alone together in front of a window pane that was twice their sizes. It was a beautiful view outside—the vast blue sky being embraced by the clouds, a green meadow past the towering buildings of the academy, students starting to flock here and there—but the French girl focused her stare in nowhere in particular, staring blankly towards the heavens.
Already feeling a bit of soreness from her thighs, she decided to slowly drop down to the floor without removing her eyes from the clouds; her upper back was upright against the wall and her legs neatly folded on the ground. At that she fiddled with her silver locks, then looked up to the boy.
“So what does your name mean?”

Without a word, he turned around to see what piqued the girl's interest. It took him quite some time to figure out what made her stare out so blankly like so. Though the answer is right under his nose, where he does the same thing every single time. Stare out to the skies. The clouds who are being pushed by the wind, and their strange shapes and him, as a little boy used to call "rabbits" or whatever it seemed to look like to him.
That sense soon stopped as he turned six years old. What a boring life he lead ever since then. Well, it wasn't like he was very fun to begin with. Only having music as his primary company. And it seemed to be something that didn't bother him, even if he had heard the same song over a thousand times. Walking around with headphones or earphones, and only focusing and one voice. Ignoring everything else around him.
Even with this 'alice' with him, he didn't even change. He was still, branded: boring, by himself, and probably a lot of people in the community.
“So what does your name mean?”
Spontaneously, his eyes blinked twice before turning back to the girl. His stance soon slouched even more as the girl was now sitting on the floor. He did the same, without having to peel himself off the wall. Having one leg stretched whilst the other was kept near his angled torso. He slipped his hands in the pockets of his jeans.
"Dark hero..."
His name was one of the worst ones ever. The first letter, a kanji was an obvious one, which meant 'black' or 'dark' depending on which would fits in the best. But the 'sagi' of 'kurosagi' was easily mistaken to be 'fraud' or 'liar'. Though his name is written not in kanji nor hiragana. It is both. The 'sagi' was supposed to mean 'hero'.
"You are.. a very interesting girl, you know?"

Following the boy’s movements as she stopped playing with her hair, ‘Madeleine’ let out a chuckle, only this time, she was more sincere. “Intéresser! So you are the dark hero of the one who hails from Magdala, then?”
Such genuine good-natured words rarely come from her mouth. It wasn’t actually uncommon of her to speak such things, but the fact that she really meant them was simply remarkable. The times she would speak those kinds of words would be when she wants to get something or she wants to get close; after all, flowery words tend to capture people’s hearts. Although she speaks with a trace of gentleness in her voice, there would always be an evil glint in her eyes, figuratively speaking of course.
“Of course I’m interesting. I study in this place, after all,” she said, not taking her auburn eyes off the boy.
That sentence was somewhat erroneous. Not everybody in this academy could be as interesting as her; perhaps she is the most interesting girl in this academy. There had always been something different about her that even she herself can’t even point out.
It wasn’t exactly her intention but she leaned her head on Kurosagi’s shoulder as a reflex. She closed her eyes for a while, trying to savor the comfort of the silence and the boy’s shoulder.

Ah yes, he had almost, or maybe had forgotten that everyone in this academy IS interesting. Yet he had gotten used to the surroundings in such a short period of time. The fact that everyone had a different, maybe similar alice didn't even matter to him. It felt 'usual'.
He didn't say a word. More like he couldn't.
Spontaneously the female student leaned on the male's shoulder. Thinking it was only the girl, feeling tired that made her do such things. Lending his shoulder was something really unsual. For him who's been in a situation where girls faints in front of him anyway.
But considering the situation, he may be able to understand that the girl was tired. Seeing from the beggining that their conversations weren't lively at all. Yet, when was one of his conversations lively? It was a long time since it was lively.
