...BADLY! I would want to ask you guys a few questions for my term paper. My topic...(since we're allowed to experiment and choose xD) is about "WHY JMUSIC IS SO POPULAR AROUND THE WORLD". This is just a survey that wouldn't take too much time to answer. Please answer them truthfully whether you like j music or hates it to the maximum level. So yeah, here goes. No arguments about how lame and simple the questions are. this is my term paper, not yours~ x3 - Do you like Jmusic? Why?
- Why do you think it's popular? (State as many reasons as you want)
- Who are your favorite artists? Why do you like them? (Optional)
- State your age, Name (A first name and last name please. Fake ones would do.), Country/City, Nationality.
Just keep answering it until I tell you guys to stop. You'll be doing me a really really great favor, and if you want, I can make it up to you. Just say your terms. ^^ EDIT: OMFG! I FORGOT THE NATIONALITY! It's kinda needed, you know xD

THE YOUNGEST TRIPLET TO THE RESCUE! D<
Why do I like Jpop: Because, I've been listening to them for 14 years. Yes, my whole life time. I practically live with them.
Why do I think it's popular: Well! Half of my country's being really popular lately. I've never found out myself until last year. LOLOL, anyway, since Japan's technology is so great and they make practically everything (But since it's assembled in China, they printed it as made in China, but you know what I mean). Not only that their level of technology is great, their music taste is also unique. Unlike english songs which do not 'mix' e.g Rock + pop = Rockpop. I DON'T KNOW! It's just because I've been living with it for 14 years that I like it!
Who are my favourite artists: You want me to list them all, I'll be writing a page. So I'll just pick the top.. ermm 3! ('cause I like the number three) UVERworld, Mihimaru GT and High and Mighty Color. Why? Well, UVERworld, because they do not stick with one music genre. Takuya's voice is also very very unique (coughsexycough) since he could do a sort of 'duet' voice, when there's only him singing. Mihimaru GT, because Hiroko (I think that's her name) don't only sing those cutesy songs with the cutesy voice, which sometimes makes people bored. And High and Mighty Color just simply because they're sexy. I mean, the music they produce is outstanding. The melody that they create really suits and yeah =DD.
Name/Age/Country/City/Nationality: Rei Huang, 14 years old, Australia - Perth, City of Melville, Jap-Chinese (Mixness)

Do you like Jpop?
- No, I don't like Jpop...I love it. I've been listening to it for 6 years. My cousin introduce it to me and I fall in love with it.
Why do you think it's popular?
-Okay, first of all I think it's because of the music genre. Second, because of their wonderful lyrics and last because of their creativity in making them.
Who are your favorite artists? Why do you like them?
-YUI- because of her voice and her talents making her own songs. -Utada Hikaru-because of her awesome voice. -HOME MADE Kazoku- I like their songs.
Many more but I listed the top 3 in my heart
Name, age, country, city, nationality:
- Eliesyah Hamid - 15 years old - Malaysia - Kota Kinabalu- Malay-

I be answering this... but I don't know how to answer it exactly. =__=" xDDDo I like J-pop? As much as I hate to admit it, yes, I do *twitch* listen to Japanese pop. You see, I don't like pop music in particular, but J-pop is somewhat different from pop music all over the world (Japanese pop have much more meaning content-wise). What's more, it's not J-pop I like actually, it's J-rock. But since I can only listen to mainstream J-rock, then that's considered pop music, since it's... well, popular.
For example, L'arc en Ciel. For many years I thought they were under JRock and snapped at anyone who said they were under J-pop, but Laruku themselves admitted that their music is J-pop. >_< It doesn't mean that if a band uses electric guitars, they're already considered 'rock.'Do I like J-music? With all my heart! Japanese music has interesting and well-composed lyrics, as I've pointed out earlier. What's more, J-music is kinda 'crazy,' but it's the good kind of crazy; each band/singer express themselves and their music in an eccentric manner that doesn't go by the usual 'music.' That doesn't make a lot of sense, but think of it this way: one can't stereotype J-music. When you say boy band in reference to J-music, it doesn't just mean a boy band who sing cheesy songs and just 'look pretty.' Yeah. xDD Why I think it's popular: Hmm... I'd say exposure from anime. That's actually how I got into L'arc en Ciel. That and because the uniqueness of J-music. Fave artists:Pop- Utada Hikaru - Very first Japanese singer I listened to.
- Laruku - Need I say more?
- Ayumi Hamasaki - I forgot why I like her. Come to think of it, I don't like her anymore like the way I liked her before.
ROCK~- HYDE - Angelic voice, interesting lyrics, kick ass instruments.
- Malice Mizer (Gackt era) - Psychedelic, somewhat romantic music just sets the mood.
- Gackt, of course! - Voice and writings. And he's a vampire. Need I say more?
- Takanori Nishikawa - His voice is sexy. xDD
Name/Age/Location/Nationality:- Chantal Crisostomo (ID No. 10736379 xDD) - 16 - Manila, Philippines - Filipino

Do you like Jmusic? Why? Yes, I luuurve Jmusic. It's songs has this unique style of music in each genre and that made me to love it. Not only that it's unique, but also the lyrics speak with my curren feelings.
Why do you think it's popular? (State as many reasons as you want) I just said it ^_^
Who are your favorite artists? Why do you like them? (Optional) Yui - The mixture of her melody and her one-of-a-kind voice combine perfectly for me to lovies her!
Utada Hikaru - Her voice can really speak up the lyrics of her songs. The high spirit of Utada can really be felt while you listen to her excellent songs because each time she sings, she can sing it with her whole heart and soul.
Well there's more...but it has the same reasons, I guess ^3^
