Hyunie was outside again, blending in with the darkness that surrounded her by wearing black sweat pants and a black sweater. She enjoyed coming outside at midnight, especially at the park on the swings. Her MP3 was blasting in her ear, the song called 'Because of You' by Kelly Clarkson brought back memories. Memories that should have been forgotten, but was ledged into the small corner of her mind.
"Because of you, I never stray too far from the sidewalk. Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt. Because of you I tried my hardest just to forget everything, because of you I don't know how to let anyone else in. Because of you I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty, because of you, I am afraid..." She sang in a quiet tone again, letting small droplets of tears roll down her cheeks as the memories began to consume her.
-Flashback-
Watching mom and dad always go to work at night, I always wondered what they did for a living. I asked them many times, but they seemed to avoid it in some way.
Pulling on my jeans and black sweater, I walked outside after my parents and followed them, hiding between the shadows. Following them up to an abandoned warehouse, I was very, very confused. Over hearing my parents talk, I stood in the shadows dumbstruck. "Let's make this quick. Kill them and exit, I don't want to make tonight very long." Me mother said, as she entered the abandoned warehouse along with my father. I followed them in, of course.
There I stood, in the middle of the warehouse as my mom flashed light to others blinding them, and my father slicing their throats making it quick and painless, or stabbing them slowly and twisting it, making it slow and painful. The agonizing screams were echoed in the abandoned warehouse, and I stood there; tears rolling down her cheeks, ashamed to know that my parents are killers.
My mother noticed me, and she had wide eyes. By then the tears stopped, and I had a cruel hard look on my face, sneering at my mother and my father, which he noticed a few seconds later. My mother began running to me, in a full sprint, but I shot out my hand as darkness began to consume the warehouse. Running out then, I realized I was scared to death; I ran home, packed my things, and left to Alice Academy like they planned, hoping never to see those people I'm supposedly related to ever again.
-End Flashback-
Wiping the tears off her face, she continued to push herself back and forth using the tips of her foot, moving up and down, up and down. The next song also reminded her of past memories; getting made fun of, being an outcast, getting rejected by others... Only few of the hundreds of reasons why she was not very social. Sure, she gave the occasionaly smile here and there, but Hyunie was very, very quiet to others. She continued to listen to her songs, each one of them giving Hyunie a memory she wished she had forgotten.
