It was after class, 5pm. The sun was about to set, and all the other students must have gone back to their dorms, or went somewhere else. But, one thing’s for sure: they are all out of the school premises.
Hiro, then, was left inside his room. While everybody was having fun that the classes had been over, he stayed inside his room, cleaning it. It’s been a bit messy—the type of mess where you couldn’t anymore see the floor. Since he had been very busy with stuff, he didn’t have the time to clean it. It’s a once in a lifetime chance that you will find this red-haired boy cleaning his room, though. Who could blame him? It’s really boring to stay there alone and do chores. Who liked doing chores anyway?
His orange shirt is already marked with the dirt that he had been wiping off from the top of his cabinet. His blue jogging pants were folded from the bottom part, to his knees, since he didn’t want to step on it and trip in the middle of what he is doing. His hair? Well, it was pony-tailed, but not in a girly way. It’s really a very tiring afternoon.
Hiro pushed the windows open, and placed the rag that he is holding on top of his bedside table. He sat on the floor and pulled a green suitcase under his bed. Taking a hold of the black zipper, he slid it open. It is loaded with some of his shirts. He never took them out, for some reason that even Hiro himself could not remember.
As he takes his clothes out, one by one, an old envelope fell. It caught his attention. Hiro picked it up and opened it. It revealed the letter that his grandfather gave him before he enrolled in this academy. He kept it. Two photos were inside the envelope, too—a picture of himself with his grandparents, and a picture of him together with his stepsister—they were standing beside a grand piano. A faint smile flashed on his lips. Hiro remembered that it was the last photo that they had together, before he moved to another place far from where she lived. The moments spent with her he could never forget.
The wind blew. And the photo of his stepsister flew, out his room. It fell flat on the corridor floor. He followed it, and just when he was about to pick it up, he heard someone coming…
