Faith walked into her dorm room, looking around the empty space with a blank and vacant expression. A large flat bed cart floated into the room behind her with a large trunk laying on top of it. Taking a small box off of the cart she opened it and started setting out tools on a desk that lay towards one side of the room near the bed. She did not speak but started unpacking various things spread across the empty space such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, an iron, coils of wire, and other strange items.
After unloading her trunk and tool kit Faith pressed a few buttons on the hover trolley, telling it to return to the storage room she had designed it for the first year she had come to Alice Academy. Not wanting to have anyone be required to carry her heavy items for her she constructed a piece of equipment to hover above the ground and with ease move from place to place.
Placing a small fuzzy ball on her bed the blonde girl watched as it unwrapped into what appeared to be a small lap cat, whitish in color. Stretching it stood on all four legs and walked around the room as if examining it.
"Clean Oboro" Was all Faith said in a soft voice, the cat looked up at her with large black beady eyes before it opened its mouth wide and with a motor-esque sound it started "eating" all of the dust, dirt, crumbs, and various other unwanted particles around the room. Watching it work, Faith gave the cat a tiny pat on the back when it had finished, though not showing any other forms of affection towards it. "Oboro" simply purred in thanks.

Somewhere, but where? Curse her lack of knowledge! A girl with brown hair and red eyes stood in a corridor of her new school in Japan, utterly lost. Having lived by a forest, she wasn't accustomed to buildings, and with so many similarities everywhere, it wasn't as though she could easily find her way out again. There weren't even any windows! Just... doors. Am I somewhere in the dorms? Or the classrooms....? An eye twitched, and she clenched a fist. Her hand began to heat and small flickers of fire began to dance around her fingers. She glanced down at it, and released the pressure, and the fire disappeared as well. The girl sighed and continued walking.
She could swear she'd been here before. The pale walls, the tiled floor, the rows or doors... I'm back here again! I KNOW I was here before!I wish Mari was here... but she's probably already getting her room all set up... The girl grimaced and was about to start moving again, using her skates this time, when she heard something that sounded like a vacuum cleaner. She lifted an eyebrow, and headed toward the sound. At least she could get directions, right? At least it was the first sign of life she'd seen since she started wandering around this forsaken place. She raised a hand to knock on the door, and gave it two soft taps.

Faith blinked, not so much as raising an eyebrow as there came a knock on her door. Opening it she found a girl her own age on the other side. Oboro took this oppertunity to try and clean Kat's shoes from any dirt and mud they had on them. Faith frowned at this uncouth behaviour and picked the cat-robot up, holding it in her arms. "... may I help you?" She finally asked in a soft and monotonous sort of tone.

"... uh.." As the door opened under her hand as she was preparing another knock, Kat was met quite unexpectedly by a girl about her own age... and a robot cat that was trying to vacuum up her shoes. She blinked, a bit unsure for a moment in the face of this strangeness, then broke the silence with speech. "Um, yeah. I'm kinda lost, just got here today. I've been trying to find my room and my schedule... Oh, I'm Kat, by the way." As she spoke, she had a frown on her face. She really didn't like having to ask for help, in anything, but at this moment she had to. Her eyes traveled back to the robot cat, now in the girl's arms, and he had to ask. "What is that? A vacuum or something?"

Faith looked blankly at the girl for a few moments. "Faith" She said curtly, walking back into her room leaving the door open. Oboro squirmed in the blonde girl's grasp and she ended up placing him on the desk to bat at and play with a piece of twine laying next to him. The girl on the other hand leaned over her trunk she had been unpacking and seemed to go back to her previous task as if she had completely forgotten the other girl was standing in her doorway. Oboro looked up as if to ask whether Kat would come in or not, but instead of showing a sense of intelligence it instead decided to inhale the entire piece of twine.

Kat continued looking at the strange creation, her curiosity piqued. It was so... bizarre... She had learned a little about this place, one thing being that everyone here had an "Alice." She'd expected them to be more like what she and Mari had, elemental control, but here was this... cat. This girl, Faith, was her Alice something with... robotics? Kat just frowned a little and blinked. She'd probably figure out eventually; it's not like it was a huge deal. What was important now was finding her way. Faith turned away and back into her room, and Kat continued to stand in the doorway. From the actions of the girl, she might as well have not been there. An annoyed expression came to her face. Was she forgotten so easily? Her eye twitched and she looked away at the cat again in time to see it inhale the ball of twine. Kat couldn't help it, she laughed. That had to be the most ridiculous thing she'd seen yet. Without waiting for an invitation, she walked over to the cat and poked at it, not entirely sure of what to expect, but figuring that it would act much as a cat would. She smiled.
"So - Faith right? - has this thing got a name?" In truth, she didn't expect much of an answer; she hadn't given much of one before, and she seemed to be very prone to intense inner thought, if she could forget about a guest that quickly. But curiosity doesn't care much about that.

Faith did not look over a shoulder as she replied "Oboro" in a soft tone. Oboro looked up at Kat, blinking with it's black beady eyes that reflected the girl's face in them. It gave a small squeak reminiscent of the sound of a squeaky car door when poked, and even though it was made of mostly metal the cat had the ability to show it had distaste for being treated in such a manner.
After a few minutes the blonde girl turned back to her guest and handed her a slightly worn piece of paper. "This helped me my first year here." When closely examined it was a map of the main buildings and hallways in Alice Academy.

Kat saw the metal cat's annoyance, and grinned a bit. Very much a cat indeed. She moved her hand to start petting it. "Oboro, huh?" It seemed to fit well. And yet, she had to go and figure out where she was going, and though it was nice to have met someone, even if they didn't seem to share that feeling, she really did have to be on her way. She was turning to go when Faith handed her a map. Kat's eyebrows lifted as she looked it over. It was a very detailed map, and as she studied it, she finally figured out where she was. Or more exactly, since she already knew she was in the dorms. Matching up with her memory of her and Mari's acceptance letters, she found her own room, and what she thought was her class room. She quickly memorized the paths to each, and handed the map back again. She'd have to check her schedule to be more certain about everything, which was probably in her room; at least so she hoped. She glanced at her watch, looked once more at Faith and Oboro, and figured it was probably time to go.
"Thank you very much, Faith. It was nice meeting you." With that, she stepped outside the room, slipped on her skates, and was going of down the hallway to her room.

Faith nodded slightly as Kat skated away. She turned to Oboro, as if to say "at least there seem to be friendly people here this year". Oboro gave a little metal-esque squeak in agreement and Faith looked at him curiously a moment. "We're going to have to do something about people petting you... aren't we?" She said with amusement but no smile showed on her face. Picking up Oboro she peeled away some of the layers of fur until she reached his internal hard drive.
When she was done Oboro would turn into a metal cube, fur being held inside until the user paid 1 rabbit for approximately 10 minutes of "petting" time. After all, Faith couldn't have any of her clever inventions go without being paid for.
