The teacher of class 1-B stood in fron of the digital blackboard, his name written in white. The handwriting, both in English and Japanese, was completely impossible to read though. But he didn't know that. Most the time he had his eyes closed, but it was more like a natural squint. He could see perfectly fine through the thin slit of his eyelids. Unlike the students, he had no uniform to wear, so he was both happy about being unrestircted, and relieved... Those plaid shorts were definitely not his style.
A setup of five tables in an "X" pattern, each with four chairs, graced the classroom. And in the front, Max's cluttered desk, Max himself, and the blackboard. The clock was to the rear of the class, and it read five minutes untill class started. Now he just needed students.

Im gonna be late, gonna be late, gonna be late Eddie said, screaming into his skull. His legs pumped hard through the corridor's. He had a pair of longer than average red plaid shorts on, almost knee-high and black skate shoes. His white dress shirt collar and hem showed from underneath the collar and hem of his black woolen jumper. His silvery hair was swept out behind him, he did not want to be late.
Eddie skidded past the door to the class and shouldered the corner of the door. Eddie hit and spun around fallen backwards into a nearby trash-can. He fell head over heels hitting his head in a wall and slumping down with a minor concussion. A low drawn out moan escaped his lips as he tried to stand...succeeding, but being shakey. He brushed himself off and tried to gracefully enter the classroom, but stumbling over his own feet and falling towards his table. An awkward smile was shown on his face as he walked to the back of the room, seeing the clock he was actually ahead of time. Seating himself he looked at the teacher. A strange looking man indeed.

Endrin was dressed in his uniform with perfection. His clothing was perfectly ironed and ever piece was where it should be and how it should be. His hair was neatly combed to the side and he looked like a very handsome young man as his mom would say. He hated it though and the only reason it was like this was because it was his first day here and he figured he would look presentable for the first day at least. He would certanly not bother trying to iron his clothing again and would let his hair fall where it wanted to. He cassually walked in to his first classroom and headed to the back of the room placing his stuff down as he sat next to a young man who was a bit less well kept as Endrin was but he really didn't mind.
Looking at the board he saw the writing and took a few moments trying to read it befroe he figured out it was the teachers name. It was surpriseing that a man with such bad handwritting could be a teacher but he assumed that it didn't matter as long as he could get his message across. Extending his hand to the student next to him he introduced himself with a smile.
"Hello my name is Endrin. It is nice to meet you."

Autumn ambled along the hallways of Alice Academy, reading room numbers and various supportive/positive posters before finding her classroom, 1B.Takiing a deep breath to calm the butterflies in her stomach down and clear her mind.
She stepped into the classroom and took the closest available seat, close as she could to the front, all the while silently musing over the odd seating pattern. Placing her book bag neatly beneath her seat, Autumn glanced around, examining the teacher first and sending a polite bow of the head his way.
Her gaze then caught two boys in the back of the classroom. Side by side they looked a little odd for one was a little disheveled, while the other could pass as the perfect example of how to wear a boy’s uniform. She kept her smile to herself about the irony, turning back to the front of the class to look over the board. The scribbles took her aback and for a good minute she stared at them unblinkingly, trying to decipher what was scrawled.
For every stab she made at guessing the “hidden code”, a small image no larger than four inches would appear upon her desk or in the air close around her. These guesses/images consisted of millionaires, beanstalks and the occasional question mark when the answer seemed to far from gaining.

Endrin's attention was taken from the boy when a new student entered and this time it was a girl. She set her stuff down in the front of the room now whether this was because she was shy, afraid, or just liked the front Endrin didn't know but the kid next to him seemed a little slf involved and she was useing her Alice.
The whole concept of Alices was still new to him only recently discovering his and so he loved to see other kids use theirs when he had a chance. "I will be right back I wanna check out what she can do. Come on you should come too. It will be cool."
Endrin rose from his seat and walked to the front of the room and saw words forming in front of her. This was amazing and Endrin's features showed how cool he thought it would be.
"Whoa! that is really cool! Can you do other things besides words?"

Autumn startled somewhat, jumping ever so slightly, and her words diminished (by means of muted explosion) from in front of her. Shaking her head to clear her mind of the now fragmented images and thoughts, she turned in her chair to better see Endrin and answered with a smile and enthusiasm.
“Yeup, I can imagine and conjure almost anything!” Autumn chimed proudly, happy to have caught someone’s attention. “Of course…It’s still hard for me to enlarge images and everything I make is untouchable.” She added, slightly more humble and ashamed than before, though she smiled past the sentence despite.
“My names Autumn and my Alice is what the Academy calls “Mutual Imagination”. I can share near whatever’s in my head and let other people view it.” Autumn extended a hand, pinky gloved with a “Finding Nemo” Band-Aid, as a friendly gesture. “It’s nice to meet you. Would you like to see anything in particular?”

Endrin took her hand gladly and shook it with a huge grin on his face. He wanted to make some nice friends here and things were looking to have a nice start. He then relized he hadn't introduced himself yet and blushed a little at his rudeness.
"Umm my name is Endrin... well not my real name but it's what everyone calls me."
Endrin started to think about what he wanted her to make and was slightly baffled but he decided to say somthing anyways cause he didn't want to be rude and he did want to see if he could touch one of the items.
"Ummmmm could you make a bird?"
Endrin liked animals and he was sutre if she could make a living thing then he could touch it. After all birds were real and you could normally touch them so this shouldn't be any diffrent.

“Endrin…hm, I like it.” Autumn smiled, returning the handshake heartily, though gently before withdrawing her hand. “Alright…so, a bird. That’s easy enough.”
Closing her eyes, Alice took the time to picture and gather her thoughts. With them fresh in mind, she brought her hand, index finger extended to act as a roost, up to her face. Within seconds of her action, small clawed toes, two in front and one facing the opposite direction behind them for each leg, began to materialize. From the toes branched feet and from those branched legs, all of which were a grayish hue. After a brief time of twenty seconds, a portly mockingbird of gray and faint blue feathering sat perched upon her finger, chirping in odd patterns and singing tunes of other birds it (and Autumn) had memorized.
“There we go. It’s a mockingbird.” Autumn sighed, a glint of glee in her eyes. Already Alice Academy was helping Autumn, she felt. Just being accepted for her gift and able to entertain brightened her mood and lifted her soul, making imagination more lively and detailed. This was the first time in a long period that she could make a mockingbird of such detail.

Endrin continued to watch in awe as the girl made her cration. He wasn't sure what kind of bird it was until she informed him but he was sitll impressed with how real it looked and couldn't help but extened his hand and try to touch it but his hand went right though it. A little disipointed that the girl was right in saying that he wouldn't be able to touch it he was still not defeated and gave her a pleased grin with the bird.
"Thats a lot cooler then my power I can't make anything."
Endrin reached behind him and scratched his head laughing a little embarrassed. He didn't htink he gift was all to special when compared to somthing like this. He couldn't make things or blow anything up. Nothing even close to that.
"Thanks for showing me your power."
Endrin looked at her and saw that she was dressed in the school uniform and frowned a little bit.
"I probably shouldn't show you mine.... I mean I would like to show you mine you could interact with and that would make it a lot more fun.... but I probably shouldn't."

“I’d love to see your power Endrin! I’m sure it’s wonderful. I just make pictures and music, both of which are possible by other means. In a sense, I’m just taking a shortcut to a place already founded.” Autumn silenced a bit after speaking, reconsidering whether to push Endrin into showing her. She didn’t want to make him feel uncomfortable, but, after all, she had never viewed another person’s Alice. And the thought of interacting using her own Alice, why this was a whole new level to explore.
With a soft voice, absent of pressure, Autumn leaned forward and whispered to Endrin. “If you don’t feel comfortable showing your Alice in class, maybe when we’re let out. I would really enjoy seeing what you can do.” She drew back and smiled reassuringly at him, letting the mockingbird flutter off and disappear through the ceiling of the classroom.
“Hmm…I wonder how it feels up there…off the ground I mean.” Autumn rambled, mainly to herself as she watched the mockingbird’s escape. “It must be nice being free of earthly limitations.”

Endrin ave her a small nod. He was still very shy about his abilities and would rather not show them off in the class when he didn't have to. He would show her after class if she wanted. He would be okay showing her as long as it wasn't like a crowd of people. He was probably still used to the harrasment he got from being diffrent.
"I will show you after class okay? I don't like showing it off around people but you showed me yours so it is fair."
Endrin gave her a small smile. He was looking forward to showing her since he didn't think she would make him feel bad about it.

Yuuko was completetly late for class that morning. She had gotten lost and was completely disoriented in this new place. But she didn't mind that, so long as she made it to her class and wasn't punished by the teacher for it. Oh how many times had that happened to her before?
As she neared the classroom, the red head stopped and smoothed back her hair, taking a deep breath as she walked into the room, confident as always. Her eyes settled upon the others in the room the moment she came in and her mind began to shift into gear. How could she make it so that each person would remember who she was?
"It's time to try defying gravity! I think I'll try defying gravity! And you can't pull me down!" Yuuko sang at the top of her lungs, holding out her arms to emphasize her lyrics. And slowly, her voice began to get softer as she crept up to the teacher, her eyes low as she began to sing the last part of the song, having skipped many lines.
" And nobody in all of Oz, no wizard that there is or was, is ever gonna bring me DOWN!!" She beamed at the teacher after finishing her song and skipped down to her seat, taking it smugly as she took her notebook out of her bag and began to write down in it whatever was on the baord. Granted, she couldn't figure it out, but she copied it anyway lest it was important

Eddie sat in a slouched position, his left arm over the back of the chair as he sat trying to read the words on the board. With no luck after several minutes Eddie moved his eyes towards the young girl with conjuring trick, he gave a small laugh when a small mockingbird came into view. She was good. Eddie wished he could control his alice like her's...his was rare and dangerous if it could not be controlled.
Eddie rubbed the bridge of his nose and opened his eyes again to follow the new girl in, when bam, she started singing the most outrageous song imaginable. I almost fell off my seat laughing, it seems every one had made some kind of entrance, me with my clumsy one, the other boy with his neatness and both girls had the guys eyes on them. Eddie stayed put though, fiddling with his collar and making sure his hair was still somewhat spiked up.
A large yawn escaped Eddie's lips as he contemplated whether or not he should go speak to one of the new people. With a mental shrug he stayed put, his headl olling backwards for the moment as he sat leaning back in his chair, the top of the chair resting against the backwall. He may of been bored but least he was comortable.

Autumn smiled, nodding vigorously in reply to Endrin. “Oh, thank you Endrin! Ah, now I have something to look forward to. I didn’t want to return to my dorm room…Unfortunately I’m roommate-less.”
Leaning back in her chair with a cheerful disposition, Autumn’s attention returned to the teacher, checking to see if class would soon be starting. Her attention however was snagged abruptly by song. Pinpointing the source, she looked on with a slight wonderment and an amused grin at the redhead entering the room. Autumn made a mental note to ask her about grand entrances next time she wanted to make a good first impression. Until then, she decided it best to ask her name and, leaning over in her direction (too lazy to stand), she spoke.
“That was quite an entrance there. A good choice of song to. My name is Autumn, it’s nice to meet a fellow classmate.” Autumn took a pause, in which most cases she’d extend a hand, but finding the distance somewhat troublesome, she decided against it. Instead, she added as an afterthought, motioning with a slight jerk of the head to Endrin, “And this is Endrin.”

Time to start. The bell rang for a good, clear ten seconds before turning itself off. The children were now under his control. They had to do what he said, down to the last word. Oh, such a wonderful feeling. And there the kids were, enjoying themselves as the bell rang. They were in for quite a scare. School wasn't a place for fun. It was a time to mold and develop the mind, not some happy fun-time crap.
"SILENCE!" Bostalk shouted, his voice edging on demonic. Both his hands pounded his desk, which unexpectedly broke in half. The papers on it flew in every which direction, burning with unnatural flames born of chaos. One of the cabinets blew open, books flying out haphazardly onto the ground. Then his eyes opened, pure red irises, glaring down at the "happy" children.

Yuuko turned to look at Autumn, smiling until she heard the name. At the very mention of her name, the girl's jaw dropped open as she waved vigorously to her, and then to Endrin. This was perfect! She had no idea that she was going to meet her roommate in her very first class!
"No way! You're Autumn? Hey! I'm Yuuko Bayer! Hi, Endrin, it's nice to meet you both! And thanks for the compliment about the song. My favorite broadway singer sings it, Idina Menzel, oh I wish I could sing like her. But really, no, this is so awesome. Autumn, do you even realize why this is so cool? We're roommates!" She was about to say more, but her giddy mood was interrupted by the teacher's outburst. Her eyes widened as she slunk back in her chair, hoping she hadn't caused it.
"Holy cow, somebody's moody," her mumble was too soft to be heard, and she wanted to keep it that way. There was absolutely no way that she was getting in trouble because this teacher had an attitude problem. It wasn't like they had done anything wrong!

“Wow, roommates? No way! Ah, that’s such a relief to hear! I was afraid I’d be all alone and bored out of my skull. It’s nice to meet you Roommate Yuuko.” Autumn’s smile grew (if possible), unable to resist adding the title before her newfound friend’s name.
The sudden demand of silence from the (once) mysteriously quiet teacher in the front sent shivers down Autumn’s spine and an obedient disability of speech for a good five seconds as she mentally calmed herself and eased back into her chair. Once in, she snapped into an attentive posture and gave her whole attention to the man in front and by doing so hoped the thoughts about his action running in her head did not decide to make themselves known.

Eddie kept his eyes on the teacher, a placated casual smile on his face, his bluey grey eyes looking directly into those red of his. Eddie wass till leaning back against the far wall as he looked and watched as everyone jumped and turned towards there respective desks. Eddie stayed calm, even though the sheer power that was just shown scared the living hell out of him he did not care.
The Teacher's eyes struck Eddie as weird, although everything and everyone in here was weird but these for the normal weird as if he was on drugs or something. Well that would be a change a drug addict teacher Eddie sai to himself, no audible words heard but a slight chuckle escaped his lips. If the teacher thought he could demand respect from light shows...he should be in a seat as well. I closed my eyes gently and awaited more speech from the disgruntled teacher.

"Xhosa. Get your rear in a seat now." This time, his voice wasn't the same level of loudness, but it had all the authority in the world behind it. There was a saying; 'The nail that sticks up, gets hammered.' And right now, Xhosa was the stuck nail. Bostalk was the hammer. By the end of the day, he'd know better. He'd be like all the other, good, little, obedient students. Or, he'd be "M.I.A."
He couldn't keep up the charade for long though. Not becuase he couldn't keep acting like the drill seargent that instucted him, but because of the flaming paper. What did that have to do with anything? The fire alarm. It went off in a blaze of sirens through the elementary school. And the sprinklers went off too, drowning the entire room in showers of water.
He was sooooooo going to get it later...

As the sprinklers began to go off, Yuuko looked around at her fellow classmates. She grinned slightly, especially at Xhosa who was now this crazy teacher's target. The water, however, was making her clothes stick to her, and she hated it when anybody was able to see through the white garments she wore.
"Excuse me, sir," she said as her hand shot up into the air, not bothering to ask to be called on, "I apologize for before, but I think this might be a little much in the way of punishment. Are we allowed to stay here until we dry off? I mean, there might be perverts outside." With that, her arm lowered and she smiled sweetly.
Yuuko looked a bit weird now, however, for her damp red hair was reflecting off of the white of her white undershirt, so it made her look like a glowing red freak. It was not exactly how she wanted to start off the year, but at least her entrance had been good, hadn't it?
