they'd say. "She's strange," they'd say. Normal. Usual. Ten was used to it -- she'd been used to it since she was small. Since the day she thought she'd killed her brother. Since the day she'd first touched an Alice-user in Tokyo. Since the day she heard the voices of everyone around her. Since the day she was abandoned. She understood it all -- why would her brother, a disgusting women like her, want a child even more disgusting then a women who sells her own body? Ten was uniform-less today... usually she was like that. She was often getting in trouble for refusing the uniform -- and sometimes trying to skip school. She was the Detention Queen -- well, kind of. Ten wore a maroon hoodie, with a black skirt and black and white striped knee-high socks with dark-coloured sneakers. She looked a little strange -- a little "poor" perhaps, was the word. Her hair was in the same sticking-up direction as always, with a few exceptions of "laying down" hair. Her eyes were, at the moment, a firm mix between a red-orange and a bright orange; it showed that she was mixing around in some other power besides her own. Probably fire, by the looks of the red. But perhaps something else. Of course -- she wasn't without a Control Device... who was? Even someone with a tad-dangerous Alice would have a Control Device (well, maybe not, but still). Hers, in fact, was one little bell connected to her ear by string -- that was it... well, it usually wasn't it. She's had others. She has others. But, lately, without any horrid mask, or anything like that, she was free for the energy hunger to take hold. Like -- a few days ago -- she touched a fire alice person... that power was still so firm in her blood stream, that as she was letting out a sigh -- sparks rose from her teeth. Ten jumped, waving her sleeved arm in front of her face to get the sparks away. Problem with Alice thieving? She wasn't immune to the Alice -- sadly enough. "Bunch of bull," Ten snarled to herself, pushing herself off the wall and coughing slightly -- more sparks. She waved her hand. It was aggrivating when you couldn't control those Alices inside of you. [/ul]

I was walking around the town when I saw someone who looked strangley familiar waving her arm in front of her, where sparks had flown earlier. Intrigued, I walked closer.
She wasn't someone who'd define as approachable. In fact, her hair, her choice of clothes, and her red-orange eyes gave of another meaning: freak. Not that I wanted to call her that anyway. If someone was to ask for an example of freaks, I would be happier to give my own name. I was insane- I talked to my egos a lot and people would think I'm talking and answering myself. I've accepted my strange-ness years before already. I didn't need to be social, so I was fine.
When at last I was a feet from her, she coughed, and sparks flew from her mouth. I grinned at that. A fire user? Way cool.
"Nice alice." I say, smiling even widely. "HAving a hard time controling it? Fire's never easy,"

Ten turned her head; "Eh?""HAving a hard time controling it? Fire's never easy."Ten blinked -- staring at the person. From the looks of her, her age wasn't too far from Ten's, and she had a normal stature. Out in the world; it would have been hard to believe someone like her could have an Alice. (From Ten's point-of-view.) Ten was bunked off that a million times; orange eyes? Red eyes? Purple eyes? Deffinitly attracts attention in a brown-eyed world. "Fire.... isn't my Alice," she croaked -- coughing once more. Dang. Her lungs burned! Alice after-taste always got to her. Mostly fire. It was like eating something really spicey that you'd certainly regret later. "But... I was using it just fine yester--" she began, looking down at her fingers. She wiggled them once -- and VOOSH. Her fingers lit into flames, she jumped -- scared out of her skin. The first thing she thought of worked to put it out though; she stuck her fingers into her mouth; a SSSSss sound and her fingers came back; blackened slightly, but OK. She reached her hand out to the girl -- not to shake, but as if to grab her, but her hand froze in mid-air; "I don't want this Alice anymore, it's annoying," she coughed, "What's yours?"[/ul]

"I don't want this Alice anymore, it's annoying," she had coughed, "What's yours?"
"I have multiple sides in my body," I began, tilting my head to the side and observing her burnt fingers. "Right now I have three. Each of them has a special ability, but I hate them." I emphasized the word, spitting the sentence out of my mouth. "It's like being three different people in a shell. A hindrance, but probably less painful than fire, if you don't count bickering with an aggressive ego." I finished.
Was she really willing to try my powers? She looked a lot stronger; maybe she had a better chance controlling her sides. I Raised my arm, smirking. "Wanna try?"

Ten said, quite plainly, but she didn't lower her hand -- although she wasn't touching the girl yet either and she stood a good distance from the arm. "But I've already gotten burned --" she coughed once, sparks flew slightly, "-- three times and I've decided that fire isn't any good. My lungs burn and I'm not immune; so... why not?" A line formed on her thin lips, and her crazy eyes blasted over crazier. Energy. She wanted it. Really badly -- even if it tasted nasty. She wasn't so weak that she'd want a flier's energy or anything; but multiples with powers? That might not be too bad. "Anyway -- aggressive ego? I do believe Teachers would say that's my only ego," Ten smirked, her fingers coming down with speed right onto the girl's cheek -- she wasn't going for the arm. Arm. Leg. Pfft. Face is the best -- it stores the energy the most, along with the heart. Her eyes flickered to the normal orange -- before straining to a new flicker of different colours. It was as if her body couldn't decide what category this girl's powers belonged to and then they settled on a greenish-blue teal. She pulled her hand away instantly; she didn't need to drain any energy, really, just a little for the Alice to surface. "Not very tasty... but..." she shrugged, "No more fire! Ha!" She licked her lips, touching her thumb to her lip, as if she just had a delicious meal. And then... a noise tickled her ears. "Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha," buckled a voice, "Interesting. Split. It's... suffocating -- isn't it?" Her eyes twisted between multitudes of colour, but remained on teal. "Very," Ten replied to herself with a laugh, a smirk-grin falling across her face as she looked at the girl. Her cool, stainless eyes staring and staring -- without even a blink; "You must be in pain sometimes, huh?" she licked her lips again, leaning back against the wall, she turned her head for a moment, then looked back at the girl; "So... who are you? I'm Ten." "Insanity."[/ul]

I stared expressionlessly at Ten, not surprised. She was going to learn how hard it was to contain each and every side. The only one that surfaced, however, was Insanity. I cocked an eyebrow. That was one of the egos I'd attained at ten, yet it was still locked up deep inside my body, not ready and fully capable yet to take form. It didn't matter to me, though. Even if Insanity was the strongest of the sides, being capable to make every one double up and laugh insanely when made contact to. It didn't sound bad, but who could win a match while laughing on the floor?
Ten had started talking to herself. That was natural. I leaned back on the wall beside her, watching with great interest as she conversed with her ego.

she stopped -- dead. Her eyes widened for a minute, before they lowered to a sleepy demeanor, then opened wide again. She reached her hand up and cluched her chest again for a moment; her eyes flickering from teal to blue to a very light pink and then pure white -- then back to teal. "Too... it's too... early..." she bit her lip, her eyes closing quickly; she could hear her heart beating loudly in her ears. THUMP. THUMP. THUMP. Like it was about to explode... then it stopped. And everything dissapear; her eye colour switched completely and staid on a sliced dark orange; she looked around, a piercing pain shooting through her stomach. But it was gone. It was a force of Identity problems; that happens when you steal identities; Alices; energy. She looked at the girl -- she didn't even know her name. "Who are you, anyway?" she forced out. She had energy back, and one more Alice stored in her stomach (the other stomach). A smirk trailed across her face, one tooth over lapping. Her crazy eyes swirling and swirling, only slight specks of teal remaining. [/ul]

"My name is Ree, Ten, I presume?" I said quietly. Insanity was gone, and I hadn't been able to see it's ability in action. "Now that's my alice is gone, what's left?" I inquired further.

she said, as if testing the girl's name, then a grin expanded insanely across her face, "Ten... I suppose that's it. They say I'm Ten. Ten; I destroy things. But... she always called me Kotone. And he always called me Jing. But, you can just call me Ten," A large, insane grin spread across her face, her eyes widening and she laughed -- it was a large belt of a laugh, and she looked up at the girl, her face into a grin that showed all of her teeth; "Ten! How insane is that! A number!" The grin dropped instantly and she leaned back onto the wall, pulling her head back enough for her hair to cover her eyes. "Now that's my alice is gone, what's left?""Hey... Ree. You've got a great Alice," Ten said -- or more hummed -- her eyes still hidden, and then her head turned a little, looking at the girl -- Ree, "You should really learn to control it. But -- for me -- I've got nothing to control. When you get down to it, when all the Alices I've collected have hit it. I'd be just Ten. The one that thinks Alices and Energy taste good. The one with an extra stomach." She snickered, an orange eye glaring down at her, before she pushed off the wall, and raised her arms into the air, flinging back her head and let out another insane laugh. People looked -- but she didn't care, and she turned, a big grin on her face; "Thanks for the energy, Ree-chan. I feel a lot better now."[/ul]

"Your welcome," I reply. "Well, I'm glad your satisfied. Anyway, do you know any way I can control them all? If I could..." I raised my hands into the air, covering the sunlight. "...think of all the amazing things I could do. I could rule."
One could never describe me as power-hungry, but I couldn't help myself. I wonder what it'd feel like to hold the world in an iron fist? Tempting...

she asked, a silky tone to her voice, "Wealth? Do you want people to look at you and -- in glee -- fall to their knees in awe? 'Am-az-ing'. Alices? Pfft... Alices -- someone using an Alice... to become... 'Amazing'?" The grin got larger -- if ever it possible... it was seen quite possible here. And then a good, stringy laugh... larger and audible. "The world doesn't need 'Am-az-ing'," she whispered, just above hearing level, "The world needs freaks to throw tomatoes at -- they are drowning in misery and that early time where throwing veggies at the freaks of the circus was acceptable has long passed." She leaned one hand out -- in mid air -- as if she was leaning on something... there was nothing there. She was miming it all out, as if she was the circus freak, and the grin dropped completely, a glint held eagerly in her orange eyes and she pushed herself off the invisible wall, staggered and swayed for a moment, and the grin tilted up just a tad; "Would you like to take a gander at who those freaks are?"[/ul]

I looked at her, cocking an eyebrow. "Freaks, you say?" I prompted. "I have that feeling it includes the both of us. An insane Alice-hungry maniac and a little girl with mental problems."
I throw back my head and laugh this time. Oh yeah, I could just imagine it. Circus freaks. And who thought this companion of mine had no humor? To think SHE was mental...
"But no," the laughter is gone, and I have stooped to a serious face, "No, If people would want to throw vegetables at me, I wouldn't let them. Don't you see, Ten? That is not our purpose. It is either we rule, or get ruled over."
I watch the clouds drift by, my eyelids half-closed. "Humans unlike us- that is to say, non-Alice users- need to learn what to mock and what to respect, hn? Don't you agree? Whereas we must learn to control our 'gifts' and our thirst for respect with these capabilities...I'm afraid, that's how blunt the world is..." I continued on, uncontrollably. "...in my own point of view, of course." I added quietly, looking at her from the side.
"After all, it is really different for everyone else."
