Two days of tears--that what it took for Hime to get out of her room. This is probably how life goes into a cycle for her. Her past and what seemed to be vivid in it involved her parents leaving her to die in the sea. After that, she was picked up by five kind-hearted men whom she now calls her "brothers", but due to an inevitable twist of fate of her having an alice, she had to live faraway from them, for her safety and theirs. Meeting her very first friends in the Academy namely Asakura Rage, Tetsuya Cloud and Masaaki Hiei, she thought her life would change. It did, and she was never happier. But Rage was killed, the second time it was with her own hands. Cloud disappeared, leaving no trace for her to find. And Hiei, the first and probably the last guy she dedicated her heart to said goodbye. Everyone is being taken away. Her world was falling apart slowly, painfully. She was alone.
People come and go. It's the truth. But Hime couldn't handle it--even to the point that she failed to accept it.
Hime now stood before the mirror, all pampered and fresh; her hair tied in her usual pony-tail with an ordinary ribbon, bangs neatly framing her delicate face. She was dressed in a white off-shoulder top, highlighting the angelic, but sad expression on her face, and her skirt colored light brown fell three and a half inches above her knees in a pencil-cut style. For her feet, she just slipped in her pair of sandals.
She stared long, and hard at her petite frames. She had never felt so fragile and weak in her life. Herself alone felt so incomplete. Hiei was her strength, her refuge, her love, her life...and now, he was gone. But it was upon the realization of this that she was able to stand up again from her bed, get her pathetic-looking self fixed and her spirits up. She never thought that both of them will be able to bid each other goodbye, but she realized she had to accept reality. She loves him, that is why she's going to let him go. Even though she wasn't clear about what Hiei intended, she doesn't want to bring it back up to him anymore. All she had to do now is to stand up from her pain and let him go, bit by bit. Of course, she still loves him. That will never change, but she couldn't keep on running away. She has feet. She will get up and use them.
Further thoughts about what happened would make her cry again, so she chose to stop thinking about it. She moved away from the mirror, blinking twice to scatter the tears forming in her eyes and towards the door. She grabbed the knob, twisted it and pushed it open.

Orika was walking in the halls of the girls dorm after the long day of school she decided to go back to her room and just do what she usually does... Drawing. She looked at her sketch book and didn't notice a door opening, she bumped on the door as it opened. She dropped her sketch book and fell on the floor from the impact.
"Ow, ow, owww..." was all Orika could utter as she rubbed her nose...
OOC: Wahahaha... naisip ko lang....

Hime's force on pushing the door wasn't too strong. It wasn't too light either. It was just right, just as she usually does when she opens doors. But this time, it didn't open as it should, as if she hit something hard outside.
"Ow, ow, owww..."
Hime's eyes widened. She had unconsciously hit someone. She panicked, knowing that the girl seemed pretty hurt. She pulled back the door and peeked behind it to see the person she hit. She saw her fallen on the floor, with her sketchbook on the floor. Without thinking, Hime rushed towards her to apologize and assist.
"I'm...I'm so sorry, miss. I didn't mean to..."She whispered with a troubled expression on her face. She let herself drop on the ground besides the girl, hair and skirt following her movements as she does. She began picking up the sketchbook and the papers that flew away from it on the floor, piling them up and securing them without looking at the girl.

Orika heard a girl say... She looked at the blond girl who was piling up her sketches...
"No that's alright." Orika said moving herself to help the girl pile up her sketches. "It was my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going? I'm sorry, I made such a mess." she added not looking at the girl...

The hands that were holding the sketchbook trembled. Staring at it, Hime was reminded of one of her brothers--James Alec Constantine--or simply her "Alec oni-chan". He loved to draw and he's hell good at it. For her, he was his closest family member. It's true that she was close to all of them, but she was closest to him. She missed his comforting smile, his warm hugs and his encouraging words. If only he was here, maybe things would've been so much easier...if only he was here, she would have more strength to go on. If only he was...
Slowly, circles of water dropped on the surface of the sketchbook. Hime tried to stop her tears, but it wasn't. She was just sitting there, crouched on the floor, trembling.
"Not now. Onegai. Not now..." She whispered to herself while starting to wipe her eyes with her arms. She was scared that her "psychological problems" would come back again. She might break down in no time too. She just wished, and prayed that she would get a hold of herself before it does.

Orika noticed the tears in the girl's eyes.
"Oh no, what did I do?" Orika thought and panicked. "Are you alright?" she said. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please don't cry..." she added as she bowed her head again and again...

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please don't cry..."
Hearing that, she quickly shook her head to tell her that she didn't do anything. Her tears kept on flowing, her chest feeling so painful that she thought it would explode. She started breathing hard and deep to calm herself, but it was no use. Tears were already rolling down the cover of the sketchbook.
Hime could hear footsteps, gathering and going towards them. She could also hear faint murmurs from nearby and faraway.
"Isn't that Mizuno Hime of Class 2A?" "What the hell is she doing crying on the floor?" "Haven't you girls heard of it yet? Hiei dumped her!"
Giggles.
"Oh so that's why." Sounds of footsteps walking away.
Hime felt her hands tremble more upon hearing of Hiei's name. So the rumors have spread now, huh? Well, she couldn't actually call them rumors when it's reality. But...whatever everyone believed in that time, she didn't care. They don't know anything about it, so they can just think what they want to think regarding their break-up...even if it hurts.
Squeezing the sketchbook, she held it close to her chest to get her tears off it. One last tear escaped from her eyes, and that was it. She's not going to cry anymore. At that, she turned around and stood up carefully. Stretching her hands with the sketchbook in them, she offered it back to the girl.
"Here..."

Orika was relieved to hear that the girl cried because she did something. Then some students came passing by and were murmuring.
Then they were giggling.
and they continued walking away.
"Hiei..?" Orika thought. "I've heard of that name before. I think he was a grade higher than me." she thought again.
Orika heard the girl say.
"Thank you..." Orika said as she took her sketch pad then she looked back at the group of students who just passed by then looked at her again.
"Is it because of him." Orika asked giving a look of sympathy, she may not understand what the girl really feels but she knows how it felt when you loose someone dear to you. "Do you wanna talk about it? My mother always told me, talking the things that makes you sad will make you feel better..." she added.

"Is it because of him?"
Hime looked down, her eyes glimmering with another round of forming tears while they eyed the floor. That moment, she was not even sure of what to answer the girl. How come she knows?--Or is that even an appropriate question to ask. Hiei is pretty famous, up to the extent that two minutes (or less) after they broke up, the whole Academy probably got the news. She had nothing against Hiei's fame or hers, if that mattered, but how come everyone would have to get involved? Why couldn't they just...don't care?
"Do you wanna talk about it? My mother always told me, talking the things that makes you sad will make you feel better..."
Now Hime looked up. She rested her gaze on the stranger before her, studying her eyes if they are sincere. It was only the time that she noticed both of them almost had the same physical features, but that was not really important. What matters is whether she could be trusted or not.
Hime stared for a few more seconds, probably long enough for her to tell that she was not like the other girls who just passed by. The way she looked at her seemed so sincere, and her gaze made her heart want to express how she felt. Maybe it wouldn't hurt much to trust her for now. It too, may become a lot of help. After all, it's what she really needed--company. Besides, there's nothing to lose anymore. She already lost him...so will anything still matter?
Lowering her head once more, Hime closed her eyes and nodded.
"Onegai shimasu. If it wouldn't burden you." She spoke, eyes still on the floor.

The girl said.
"It's no burden at all..." Orika said.
Orika knows how it feels, the feeling of being talked about. People stabbing hurtful words, because of something she didn't want to happen. What happened to her mother wasn't her fault, but people blamed her and called her a "Witch". It may not be the same situation as the girl but in some way she understands, and what the girl needs is someone who can understand her... She may be is a stranger but she wanted to help in some way.
"My name is Orika, Orika Ethellion." she added as she stood up and offered her hand to the girl.

"I'm...Hime."
The blonde girl said her share of the introduction, face remaining emotionless, but still angelic. Her hands, from being clasped together at the level of her thighs motioned upwards to the strands of golden hair resting on her shoulders. She brushed them gently while waiting for the girl to decide where she would want to take her.
Hime was actually wanting to go to the cafeteria to get something sweet , but she would let the girl pick where they would want to talk. She wouldn't be comfortable with somewhere private though, since the probable silence would just remind her of loneliness. Hime also knows that showing herself to the Academy would just attract gossipers, but it would also do no good to keep hiding. The first step into letting go--after all--is to live normally like she always did.

"Where could be the best place to talk?" Orika said thinking. "I know we can go to the cafeteria, we can get something to eat while we talk. I hope you don't mind since there a lot of people there?" she added.
Thinking that were a lot of people in the cafeteria people might start gossiping around, which is the last thing she'd ever what...

Hime's head finally rose up to look at her. She was actually glad of what she heard but there's not a trace of happiness on her face. She just gave her a nod, and answered her question.
"I really don't, Orika-san. I actually preferred it there."
Letting her delicate fingers slide down a final stroke from her hair, she returned her hands on her sides before clasping them together again and placing them in front of her body. She let Orika take the first steps towards the Academy cafeteria before she would follow her. And as soon as they would get there, she would order a Blueberry Cheesecake and eat to her heart's content.

Orika and Hime reached the cafeteria. They went to the counter to have their order. Orika ordered a Chocolate Mousse while Hime ordered a Blueberry Cheesecake. Then they headed for a vacant spot to sit. They passed by a table of students and they began whispering something to each other...
"Don't mind them..." Orika said looking at Hime.

OOC: Not at all. You actually made our thread go straight to the point. xD Oh yeah, I'm gonna make the cafeteria look like the cafeteria in the SDA =D They entered the cafeteria together, the mixed aroma of food and sweets entering their noses as they walked on the well-polished white tiles that painted their reflections on vaguely. The cafeteria, like it had always been, was filled with students of all grades and of all alices. They sat together on white tables, eating together, laughing and telling each other stories. The way it looks had been the same too; The white walls, the busy shop windows, an organized line of students buying food and the glass walls, overlooking the back of the Academy where the entrance to the North Woods are found. As peaceful and glorious the day was, the more saddening it had become for Hime, especially when they passed by the table where a Middle School Girl accidentally spat out the milkshake she was drinking. But she was thankful for she was comforted by her companion, whom now, she is actually wanting to be friends with. She and Orika settled at the table closest to the glass wall that served as a window to the Academy Grounds below them. Hime remained quiet and composed, sitting up elegantly, back arched, accenting her figure and hair neatly falling softly behind the chair. Her eyes remained fixed on the slice of pastry before her, her hands playing with the silver fork. It was only in that moment of abstraction that she was made aware that the cafeteria radio was turned on. She can hear a familiar melody played by the strings, accompanied by piano as the instrumental part of the song being played, and as soon as the part was finished, she heard the voice of Yuna Ito, singing the recapitulated chorus. Tatoeba dare ka no tame ja naku anata no tame ni Utaitai kono uta wo Owara nai story tsuduku kono kagayaki ni Always tsutaetai zutto eien ni"Endless story...deshou?" She whispered, trying to start up a conversation. She wasn't certain that the girl recognizes the song or even like jpop at all, but she's pretty sure she had heard of the original version of the song, "If I'm not In Love with You". But if she was asked, she would say she prefers Yuna Ito's version. Hime's thoughts was now revolving around in the song. It was actually a good thing to set her mind away from Hiei just for once. After all, all she ever thought about during her free time in the Academy was him. Although the song itself reminded her of her love for him, she forced herself about thinking about its music, and not the emotions attached to it. That's the only way to avoid pain the song would've brought to her.

Orika was having a great time eating her chocolate mousse, when a song was being played by the radio.
Orika heard Hime say.
"Hmmm..." Orika said nodding. "Japanese version. Eventually this is my first time hearing it since I've lived my life in America, it's much more pleasant than the english version." she added taking another bite of her chocolate mousse.
The song reminded her of an old friend that went away... Just to let it slip of her mind she decided to change the subject.
"So..." Orika started. "Umm... Now about your... troubles..." she added hoping that she didn't say anything offending.

OOC: BGM EFFECTS FTW! xD "Umm... Now about your... troubles..."Hime felt an invisble blade went through her chest. She winced, lowering her head, having reminded of the painful experience two days ago. The hand that was holding the fork squeezed it tighter, but after a few seconds, let it loose. She let out a sigh, hearing the voice of the DJ introducing the next song. "Here's M-flo loves Yoshika, their hit single, Let Go." The song started to play, the sweet melody by the acoustic guitars absorbed by the cafeteria's atmosphere. Everyone seemed quiet while listening to it, including Hime herself. "Let go let go I know I gotta let go Let go let go I know I gotta leave my past behind and let go..."It's almost as if the song was talking to her. She listened to the lines of the song, preparing to let out what she was feeling. After a few more seconds, she was able to look Orika on the eye. "You probably know Hiei, right? Masaaki Hiei?" She started. She had no idea on how to start it anyway, and the best way of beginning a story is introducing the characters. She assumed she already had seen him, or even heard about how great he is, and probably had seen her with him or how intimate the two of them were. At that, she waited for her answer or furtehr questions about what she wanted to know.

"The Dangerous Ability classes were long gone, Orika-san." Hime answered politely the girl. She listened as the song moved on, letting the melody sink in as she speak with a faint smile on her lips. "They abolished the old classification of the Alices ever since Silvercraft-sensei was promoted to being a Dean of the Academy."
Hime let out a sigh. Seeming that the girl after all knew Hiei, she decided to go on with the story.
"Well...Hiei broke up with me." She uttered the words as if it's written in a script. She need not to say it though, because everyone knew about it. The song went on to its last chorus.
"It was three days ago. He sent me a note to meet up with him in the rooftop, the place where we first met. I didn't quite expect that he was breaking up with me at that time..." Hime's gaze from locking onto the eyes of the girl, dropped down to her lower right side. Tears were sparkling with the sunlight the moment it touched her oceanic eyes, but she managed to blink them away.
"People talk about hunches, or anything about sensing what their 'other halves' feel...but I didn't feel anything like it would happen. It was just an ordinary day--" She stopped the narration, her thin glossed lips slightly moving apart from each other as her eyes widened slightly, now looking down her legs. Something of great importance hit her. Why was she unable to sense it? If she was really linked to him somehow like she always believed she was, she would've known something is going on in his mind. Maybe this was it--it's the fact that she didn't love him enough--the fact that...they're not destined for each other.
"No..." She whispered, the hands playing with the fork began to tremble. She dropped it, losing her appetite of even touching the cake in front of her despite the two days she went through without food. Her hands motioned to her upper arms, hugging herself, and then leaning forward the table.
"Orika-san...is that it? Is it because we're not destined for each other?" She asked the question loudly, traces of fear sounding from her trembling voice. She looked at Orika in the eye, her eyes demanding answers that would satisfy her question.

After Hime's narration she asked Orika with the question...
Orika thought deeply it's something she doesn't know but she knows one thing for sure...
"That is something, only the two of you can answer..." Orika replied. "Even though people give their own opinions their only saying what they think, in reality they don't really know the reason. If you said Hiei-senpai was the one who broke up with you, then he has reason for it everybody does something for a reason..."she added.
Looking at Hime with sincere.
