Kurogane sat in his office, silent and still as he stared at his now-empty table. His face was dull, his mouth slightly opened and his eyes blank. Today certainly wasn't a day to celebrate at all. Right before Halloween, and he hoped that it was all nothing but a trick cause he did not give them a treat. Kurogane closed his eyes and mouth, taking deep breathes through his nostrils as he tried to calm himself. He felt down, waves of unknown coldness surging throughout his whole body, starting from his chest. For a moment, he felt intchiness in his eyes, as if it were turning watery. Blinking a few times, he resisted the urge to shed a tear, knowing that it would not make a difference save the amount of water in his body.
He opened his eyes again, looking at the center of his almost empty table. On the right side was a box containing all of his personal office documents, paper holders, table decorations and other stuff. To the left was a piece of paper, similar to a document, and a piece of paper inside an envelope. Realising that the saliva in his mouth was starting to increase in amount, he swallowed, before shifting in his seat as he sat up right. Moving the rolling chair back a bit, he turned it, facing the glass wall of his office and looking out at the courtyard of Alice Academy and the students in it. Some were sitting down, peacefully talking about themselves with others, especially the boys, were running around, playing tag or hide-and-seek. One or two of them would make use of their Alice to gain the upperhand. That would usually have made Kurogane smile, but nothing about him changed at all.
Letting out a sigh, he stood up, his white shirt straightening under the force of gravity, though a few ripples were still present, especially at the sleeves. He sluggishly dragged himself forward until he was directly behind the glass wall. Leaning forward, he rested his forehead against the glass wall, closing his eyes as he did, his arms hanging by his side, lifeless. He took another deep breathe, trying to calm himself and prevent an outburst of tears. This was the last time, after all. He opened his eyes, looking down once more at the courtyard. Then, pushing himself off the glass wall, he made his way towards the table. Taking another deep and relaxing breathe, he looked around the room that had been his since he first came here. He'd never forget his days here.
Letting his blue eyes turn back towards the table, peering through his purple-tinted sunglasses, he eyed the box. Well, the more he stayed here, the worse it was going to get. He might as well get his ass moving. Grabbing the further end of the box with his right hand, he picked up the heavy package with ease, resting it against his waist to keep a steady grip. Then, with his left hand, he grabbed both the document and the envelope, before proceeding to the door of the office, the inverted letters of "Student Dean' visible on the glass mesh at the top side of the door. He did not look at it all. Placing the document and letter in between his chest and chin first, he opened the door with his left hand, walking out of the room and closing the door behind him, before grabbing the envelope and document once more.
Silently and without a word, he walked towards his first destination, proceeding towards one of the female teachers of the room. He kept his facial expression constant, ignoring the murmurs and glances given to him by his colleagues as he reached the table of Althea Valentine, relieved to see that she was there. Giving no word to the older and, of course, beautiful teacher, he placed the document and the letter on her table, before walking away, the box still propped against his waist, held there by his right hand. Walking to the entrance of the Teacher's Rec Room without another word or a reply, no matter who it came from, he opened the door and walked out, closing the door behind him gently. As soon as the sound of the click entered his ears, he closed his eyes, letting out a satisfied smile. It was better to just leave now than to wait and wallow in tears with the others. At that, he proceeded towards his room, wondering where he would to go now. As he paced, he spoke a couple of words, to no one in particular.
"Thank you and happy Halloweens."
Now, you would wonder, what exactly did Kurogane give Althea? Well, the document would be the one that would attract her attention the most, so let's get to it first. Prior to his first departure from Alice Academy, Althea had gotten close to a student Kurogane himself had asked her to study on and the two had developed a sort of mother-son relationship. The document was none other than an adoption form for a particular student named Hiei. From then on, Hiei was now Hiei Valentine. Quite an unusual name, but he'd have to live with it. And now, the envelope. On the flat side of the envelope, a single word would be written. "Answers." Althea would then open it, finding a piece of letter inside. If she were to read it, the contents would be like this,
"Dear Althea,
I know you may be wondering as to what is happening at the moment so hopefully this letter might explain everything to you. Yesterday, I received a call from the higher-ups as they requested to meet me in their office. I had to leave the Academy, of course, which I had become frequent to. Immediately, I knew there was something wrong, as they wouldn't call me up on such short notice. I arrived there soon enough and you will never believe what happened in the office.
They said that they were not satisfied with how I've been handling the school and how I've been doing my job as a Student Dean. They had found out about me sending Hiei and Saturos with me into clear danger and engagement with the AAO. They said that I had disappointed them many times before, but this had to be just the worst yet. Long story short, they were not happy and sadly, I lost my job. I'm no longer a student dean and no longer a teacher of the Academy. I was asked to leave the Academy today, so by the time you're reading this, I should be in my room packing my stuff or already have left the Academy. Don't try to confide me as it won't help me get my job back.
I would just like to say thank you and it has been a fun and enriching experience working and teaching with you and the rest of the staff. Give them my regards and good luck to you all. Oh, yeah, one of you will be promoted to student dean soon and hopefully he would be able to do a better job than me. So, good bye to all and thank you for the memories.
-Kurogane
P.S. I managed to persuade them to give me Hiei's adoption form as my 'retirement' gift, so congratulations, Althea. You're a mother now. Take care of that kid, alright?"

[OOC: Yes, I have now retired from the job of Student Dean, at the age of 22. Wow. Anyway, a new student dean will soon be selected among you all. And don't worry, I won't quit staff. I'll still take charge of the Twilight Zone, but my authoritive position among you guys will be kinda voided now. I just realised, I don't really make a good staff. ^_^]
