The morning was brisk and cool, a light snow had powdered the large grounds of the Alice Academy Institution. A young woman held her long black peacoat close to her body with one hand and in the other held a fairly small plain bag, obvious to those around her the small framed girl was extremely cold even in the relatively warm winter air. Her stoic expression stayed on her face even as she entered the large Elementary School branch building. Magdalena made her way through the filling hallways, passing by various students as she moved with most of them towards the auditorium. The black haired woman looked around before approaching the front of the room.
'It looks like they're not here yet...' Magdalena thought, letting a soft sigh escape from between her lips. Leaning against the front wall of the audotorium, looking this way and that to find the two elementary school teachers. She tapped the toe of one of her black boots softly letting it's sound ring through the hall.

Max stretched out a little bit, letting out a slight groan of relaxation. Sitting behind the podium, nobody could see him from the seats. He had no problem with giving speeches or being in front of a crowd, but he was just lazy at the moment. Not a good idea when your boss would probably snap your neck for laying down on the job. But, lucky for him, he wasn't laying down, he was leaning. Slight difference.
Of course, smartass remarks like that would probably get him whipped in an instant. But, anything like that combined with the inevitable chaos he brought, could have odd consequences. Like the time he was teleported, without his pants.

Magdalena frowned as she noticed the teacher "leaning" behind the podium near her. "Excuse me... are you one of the elementary school teachers? It's my first year teaching here and I'm afraid I'm not accustomed to everyone's faces quite yet." Crossing her arms the black haired woman almost forgot the reason she was there in the first place. She had her own class to get to, didn't need to be running around doing mindless little errands that the Overseer should be taking care of for her. However, she was here now.
"I have packages that need to be delived to both Hidaka-sensei and Bostalk-sensei..." Her voice trailed off slightly. She was hoping not all of the teachers were so lacking as the ones she had met so far. Indeed, Magda was not impressed.

"Oh really? Nice to meet you, I'm fairly new myself. My name is Maximillian Bostalk, so I'm one of the recipients of those packages. I don't think I saw you at the staff meeting. I don't even know you name, yo..."
Max said as he got up and bowed to the new teacher. Already he had made a bad impression. Just wait until his Alice decided to jump in and do something to make things worse. For now though, all seemed safe, which worried him all the more. The longer it took for disaster to strike, the more powerful it could be. Like that time he melted during training exersizes.

Magda gave a quick little improper curtsy (simply bending at the knees slightly) as she was wearing a dress at the moment and did not feel much like expending the effort required to do much else to show respect towards these elders of hers. "Magdalena Rosenfield, middle school teacher and technology type supervisor. I was off in England gather more limitors for the teachers as we were running low in storage, I have connections there so the headmaster sent me. The trip took a bit longer than expected and I was unable to attend the staff meeting."
Her greyish blue eyes darted down to the brown bag she was holding. "Speaking of which... I suppose this is yours then." She held out the bag for Bostalk. "All the limitors are in it, I'm assuming I can trust you to hand the other half over to Hidaka-sensei."

"Oh, thank you Miss Rosenfield. Though I am quite sure I won't be using these, yo." His hand reached out slowly to take them, his fingers wrapping around the side of the bag. Without warning, Bostalk's eyes widened a little as he felt the power of what was about to happen. A surge shot through his arm, traveling along the bone, tripping every nerve it touched. As it came through his hand, he knew the inevitable conclusion. And there was nothing he could do about it.
He saw the bolt of electricty flow from his fingertip to her hand during the exchange. It was the most powerful collection of static electricity to ever exist. And it was all sent right into her hand...

Magdalena jumped back as a soft sort of scream was habitually allowed by her body when she felt the first sensation of pain in her fingertips. It was a good thing the other teacher had a hold on the bag or it would have fallen to the floor as the black haired woman stumbled backwards as her right hand gripped her left. She winced slightly before looking back at the man. Magda could guess that her hair was probably sticking up a bit at the ends from that unceremonious exchange, and the frown that painted her lips was good indication that she was not amused at all.
"Perhaps YOU'RE the one in need of the limitors Mister Bostalk!" She said, a bit of anger in her voice. It was difficult to tell if electricity was the man's Alice as he seemed almost as shocked as she was (however, it was difficult for ANYONE to be as "shocked" as Magda was at the current moment) though she really could care less. She was more concerned about the safety of the children he'd be in charge of for the year.

"Well, that would be a very good thing. But the limiters have no effect on me. Don't ask how, but they just don't. Anyway, I'm sorry about that. I tend to bring disaster wherever I go, yo." He tried to smile, in a futile attempt at redeption, but we all knew it was hopeless. Those random effects of his tended to cause a lot of static among him and his colleagues.
Taking the bag, he shoved it under the podium, and kicked it a little with his foot. he hated the infernal contraptions. They attempted to restrain the unique powers of those who had them installed. And in effect, they suppressed the person's 'self'. He knew they were necessary for some people, like those that gave off natural radiation, but they were too heavily relied on. That, and they didn't work on him, which he didn't like either.

Magdalena tried to shrug off what had happened, but the first impression her fellow teacher had made had certainly been a strong one. If she had been a cat or dog she'd probably run off to lick her wounds, however she was not a woman to run. She never had been ever since she was little. Part of the dark sort of aura around her made it that much more simple for her to get other people to leave her alone instead of the other way around.
"Doesn't work... interesting." She said with no enthusiasm, and a tad bit of resentment. "We tend to want what we cannot have, so I'm assuming your Alice is one of those the user would rather have 'watered down' and mild as opposed to random effects suffered." Magda looked back her left hand, it seemed to be all right, though it tingled. Alot.

"Let's just say, this isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened. It's the first time I've shocked someone, but I've done far worse. Ever seen butterflies come out of someone's mouth? It's funny, if you're not the one from whom the butterflies are coming out of, yo."
Again, he smiled weakly. He had nothing left to offer. "I lost my entire life to this effect. Teaching here is the only thing I can do. But the effects aren't usually in that level of power. The effects tend to be much more harmless. You... Just weren't lucky, yo."
Speaking of random, a student's mechanical dog was out in the aisle, likely a Technology Alice creation. Though that wasn't out of the ordinary, the fact it began breakdancing was. During the headspin, the apparent owner had the most freaked out look in his eyes. The dog obviously wasn't programmed to do that.

She simply stared at him in a sort of vacant way for a few moments, not really paying attention to the dog off to her side. "Everyone has their own trials they must overcome. For some of us, they are much more simple than others." The child who seemed quite distraught as their robot was beginning to fall apart suddenly became more shocked as the dog simply stopped. Completely. Magda's right hand had come up, her fist clenched. She held it like this until the child tried to move the object and found it quite stuck to the ground. Letting her grasp lessen the child pried their dog up and ran off to the other side of the room to "fix" it.
"Amusing." She said offhandedly, though it was obvious she hadn't been. "Some of us choose our poison, and for some it is forced upon them." Her voice was soft and not at all as harsh as it had been before. Perhaps it was that she could relate, perhaps it was the fact that it seemed like such a horrible waste of a human life.

"That was a bit harsh... It would have stopped eventually, yo..." Bostalk shook his head at the now scrambled dog. It was a cool looking cyber-doberman too. Black metallic armor with light blue plastic sensor covers. A thing like that would have been treasured in the military, or even on a police squad. That reminded him he was missing his old life. He even missed boot camp. That was just wrong.
"Yes, being forced into my 'poison' as you put it. These 'powers' change a lot of things. I might assume you didn't ask for your skills either. At least you can embrace yours. So just be happy with what you got, yo." The smile this time was a bit warmer, not so clouded by guilt or embarassment.

"Hardly..." She sneered a little, unconsciously letting hand go up to rub her arm right underneathe her shoulder. "People do not like what they cannot control, and seek to find ways to do just that." Looking up at Maximillian her greyish blue eyes held a deep rooted sadness within them that was easy to identify. "The scars of these things cannot be put to rest... no matter how much we may wish otherwise." Her grip on her arm tightened slightly before she realized what was happening. Shaking her head slightly she tried to put on a sincere smile.
"Forgive my rambling, must have been all that electricity to my brain so quickly. You have classes you must be attending to, I shouldn't be distracting you like this." She started to stick out her hand to shake his but thought better of it and retracted it, letting it rest at her side.

"Well, sorry about the shock. I'll have to get on with my classes, just as you have to. It was nice meeting you. I hope we'll get along, yo!" He saw the had retract and knew why. Once bitten, twice shy.
Instead, he bowed to her. She wasn't all that bad. He had though she'd of used her power on him for his accident. But, it all goes to show you, how things can never go exactly as planned. That was the power of chaos, the eternal variable. It certainly made life a lot more fun.
"Oh, and I do believe Hidaka-Sensei is somewhere around the back. Either that, or in class. Have a good day, yo!"

"Perhaps we'll be able to continue this discussion later. " She said offhandedly, bowing in return so as to not show any disrespect. After all, she was the youngest staff member to ever be hired by Alice Academy. All of them were her elders and she was supposed to respect them all. Ironically she had better control over her powers compared to some of these elders, but that was why she was hired in the first place.
Looking back towards the technology Alice child, it seemed that they found their dog back to normal. "It's... a temporary effect, after all." Her eyes were half-closed as she watched the dog wag it's metallic tail back and forth. Magda's shoulders sunk slightly watching it. "As long as the object in question's shadow is fixated it will be unable to move. As soon as it is allowed to move again it may do so freely, almost no time change in between." Her voice grew hushed. "If it weren't for the gears being stuck from trying in vain to gain freedom it'd be able to move again immediately. I don't have that kind of strength...." Turning back to Maximillian she bowed again. "I should go, my class is probably growing restless. Until next we meet Bostalk-sensei, ja ne." She said, turning but not starting to walk away until she check on the status of that stupid dog again.

"Sure, I'd love to talk to you later, yo. Ja ne." Bostalk smiled as she left, unsure of what to think about her. Young, yes, but he was too. Four years really wasn't that much time. At least, it wasn't in the grand scope of life. But some people had a fixation on the clock, counting every second that clicked by. He felt sorry for those people. They were just waiting for something bad to happen, doing nothing but trying to prepare.
He also hated trying to control things. Even if he could, he would probably let his Alice run free, as long as it didn't try to cause too much pain. It was a part of him, after all. He didn't like her shadow Alice because of that. It controlled an object's motion. Then again, a lot of Alices gave people control. But in the end, the Alice ended up controlling them, just like his Alice controls him...
"Anyway, back to class, yo..." He sighed and walked off, taking the bag of contraptions with him.
