Alice Academy: Alice in Wonderland
Chapter 1
The Initiation[/center]
Wind was blowing at her face, her body, everywhere. She felt as if she was falling. Letting out a confused moan, she opened her eyes. Bright lights enveloped her sight for a moment, causing her to instinctively cover her eyes with her arms, but soon enough, the light had dispersed. Hime lowered her arms. Her eyes widened. She was indeed falling. Her hair and the skirt of her light blue dress were waving behind her, her body feeling so light as wind continued to blow at her face. She looked around. Everything around her was yellow. And there seemed to be no walls, nor floor for her to land on, if she wanted to land, that is.
Frightened, she let out a yelp as she looked straight down, tears already welling up in her eyes. What was happening? Was she going to die here? But what about her brothers? She had yet to say one last good bye to them! Was this how it was going to end? Hime closed her eyes as the crystal tears emerged from the corners of her eyes. She was going to die here, she was sure of it. Then, she blinked her eyes for a moemnt, trying to get rid of the tears, but as she did, she noticed something below her. A brown circular ground. She let out another yell, expecting her person to just fall onto that ground with a splat, a bloody mess being what would be left of her.
But then, she felt pressure. Pressure against her front. She stopped yelling, confused at first but realising soon enough that she was slowing down. Moving her feet, she landed on the ground. For some reason, she felt out of balance and for a moment, she knelt down, taking deep breathes as she calmed herself. That was indeed a frightening moment. She closed her eyes for a moment, the tears seemingly having stopped coming. The blonde girl then stood up, opening her eyes as she let out a sigh. She was standing it what seemed to be a circular brown platform. And on the center of a platform was a piece of paper. Curious, the girl stepped forward, kneeling down to pick up the paper. On it, written neatly on cursive, was a set of words. Two lines of words. It seemed to be a riddle. Confused, she read it out loud.
"Tonight, your heart is at a tip of a knife,
And only your sadness will save your life."
And only your sadness will save your life."
Hime stood there for a moment, confused, until she heard a clanging sound above her. She raised her head to look up, only to see a large number of knifes falling towards her, their tips pointed downwards. She let out another yelp of surprised as she stepped back, dropping the piece of paper. As it descended to the ground, Hime looked at it once more. 'Tonight, your heart is at a tip of a knife'. She looked up. What was this, some kind of sick joke? The riddle seemed to be putting her in some kind of crazy and dangerous situation and accoriding to it, only her sadness would save her life. What was that supposed to mean? Confused and feeling hopeless, Hime let out a yelp, another tear rolling out from her closed eyes. And then, it hit her. Tears! Her eyes shot open, as she looked at where she had been standing at earlier. There were stains on the ground, stains of her tears. Yes, she got it now!
Concentrating, she extracted all the water particles from her tears and formed it into one orb of water. It was small, but it would be enough to protect her vital organs from the knifes. Wait... Her heart is at a tip of a knife? Hime looked up. The knifes were coming down fast, she did not have much time! She closed her eyes, placing the orb above where her heart was. Then, she expected once more to feel the pain of getting stabbed all around her body, but in the end, she felt a change of atmosphere. Opening her eyes, she found herself this time in a blue room. The room was circular, and in the center was another circle, this one a lighter faint of blue than the rest of the room. And around that circle were 12 pillars, placed at equal distance from each other. Where was she?
Seeing no riddle nor danger anywhere in the room, she let out a sigh as she sat herself down in front of one of the pillars. Whereever she was, someone must be looking for her. They would not just leave her there. Someone was coming and Hime would wait, even if it was her captives. She wanted, after all, answers and more importantly, revenge.

"Ugh... What happened?"
The red-head muttered as she sat up, her right hand over her head and her lefthand on the ground, propping her up. Blinking her eyes for a moment to clear her vision, she looked around. And there, she found herself in a room of complete darkness. She stood up, then stopped as she noticed what she was wearing. Her eyes opened wide as she let out a yelp of surprise. She was wearing a red shirt with white fluff bordering the collar and sleeve-ends and a red skirt that reached to her knees, also bordered with white fluff.
"It's Christmas already?"
She muttered out, utterly confused. One minute ago, she was asleep and the next minute, here she was, in complete darkness. Where was she, anyway? She pulled her eyes from her attire as she looked around. She took a step forward, and then felt herself sink. Her eyes widened as she looked down, attempting to pull her leg out, instead to find it stuck on.... Whatever she was stepping on. She grabbed her knee with both hands and pulled once more, but to no avail. Her foot was stuck and it was stuck good.
"What the hell?"
She yelled out in frustration, looking at her foot. She sighed, then looked around, hoping to see anyone or anything that could help her get out of her predicament, but she was alone in this empty black room. And then, she flinched as she suddenly heard a deep voice echoing in the room, or whatever she was in.
"You only have a few moments to survive,
The trapment will release when you die."
The trapment will release when you die."
When she die? Xena's eyes shot open in fear and confusion. What the hell was he talking about? "Hey, what do you mean?! Get me out of here! Who are you?! HEY!?" She received no reply. Frustrated, she cursed under her breathe. She looked at her foot. She could see it, yes, but it seemed to be trapped in some kind of transparent liquid or whatever. Glass? Maybe. Then, she repeated the riddle in her head. She would only be free if she died, then. Though, if she was dead, there would be no difference. She'd still be trapped! And whatever was happening to her, she was sure that the voice was indeed serious. She only had a few moments to survive. Whatever that meant. One thing was for sure, she would die if she did not get out of here.
She raised her right fist, placing it over her heart as she tried to comfort herself. Well, it wasn't so bad, she guessed. She was starting to get tired of life, after all. People dying, sadness, happiness, frustration, anger. Emotions. She was getting tired of it. Maybe, maybe this wasn't so bad. Though, her attention was diverted as she felt something on her chest. Looking down, she noticed a silver badge over where her heart was. And everytime her heart beat, the silver badge would emit a faint red light. Taking a quick guess, she figured it was a heart beat scanner or something.
It seemed that this scanner would be one to check if she was indeed dead, before they actually freed her. She grabbed the badge and tugged at it, but the moment she did, she felt a jolt of intense pain surging through her body. She doubled over, letting out a surprised yelp of pain as her eyes shut tight. It was hopeless. If she tried to pull out the silver badge, what might happen was her getting killed by the pain. And she was too afraid to see if she could survive it or not. Feeling hopeless, she let out a sigh. In her mind, she thought back on her Academy days. Meeting Takara, her once best friend. And a couple of other good friends too. Her position as the third council's P.R.O, her position as the fifth and current council's Vice President. And the fun times she had with her Alice. Wait... Her Alice!
Her eyes shot open. That's it! She looked down at the badge. It was meant to scan for her heart beat, but what if her heart was not at her chest at all? She had the ability to manipulate bodies, after all. She could try to move her heart and any nearby veins and arteries away from the scanner. Smiling at finally finding an idea, he concentrated. She felt pressure on her chest somewhat, but soon enough, she knew she was succeeding. She felt the wings grow from her back, tearing through her red shirt, her tail emerging from the cloth of her skirt itself.
And soon enough, she felt the pressure on her leg fade away. Quickly she flapped her wings as she moved away from the trap, soaring into the air. Before anything happened to her body, she returned the organs back in their rightful places as she opened her eyes, watching as the silver badge flew off her chest and landed on the ground. She was free! Then, there was a loud ding sound and she looked up, only to see two floating doors in front of her. And both doors had words written on it. To the right, it was 'Golden Princess' and to the left, it was 'Black Knight'. Xena looked at both doors, unsure of which one to choose from. Taking a deep breathe, she decided to go for Black Knight. Maybe being with a knight was better than being with a princess. And if it was going to be what was opposite the door, she felt that maybe fighting with a knight would be better than a princess. For her, that is. Princesses had magic, after all. If it was a knight, all she needed to do was touch him and he was done for.
A smile on her face, she opened the floating door to her left. Before she could see inside it, she was sucked into the door. And she let out a yelp as she found herself falling once more.

"This is certainly getting interesting..."
The man in green chuckled to himself as he looked at the set of monitor screens in front of him. Two had survived and the other ten were still asleep, unaware of the danger that was about to come to them. He was definitely going to have lots of fun with these people.
