He had his eyes on both of the guitar. He stood slightly, letting the stratocaster hang from his neck, whilst he pulled the piano seat towards himself so he could decrease the space in between himself and the girl. Crossing over his right leg over his left, he sat one of his collection piece on his lap.
He eyed the girl without lifting his head, with a calm expression on his face. It was in between what and how can I help you. Though he never really does have an exact facial expression if he is truely exressing himself. It was always unexact. Her question made him think for a moment.
"Hmm.. To tell you the truth, I didn't actually study the guitar." He started, once again strumming the C chord. "I was merely intrigued by it, so I started looking at chord books and learnt them one by one. Carefully of course. After that, I tried something else-- something like... Looking at tabs to songs. After I mastered that bit, I learnt how to use the chords used in an electrical guitar. After that, it just develops, I guess."
The raven haired stopped the sound resonation from his guitar by placing his palm over the six strings. He lifted his head this time, then looked at the girl once more before turning his attention back to the guitar.
"It's not natural tallent, trust me on that. It's a development in which you have to strife for. Even though I could create my own guitar solos and all, I still cannot compose my own song. Though, let me tell you one thing: I have a cousin studying here, he's a drummer. He could probably explain this fanaticism better than I can."

Risha changed her sitting position ever slightly as she shifted her weight more to her right. The distance that decreased between her and Tatsuya was overwhelming in its first seconds. The paranoid thoughts that took her were the possibility of Kurosagi seeing and hearing more of her pathetic attempts to learn--mistakes, in other words. Disappointing people was a forte she never dreamed of, especially not in front of this demi-guitar god whose smirk sent her wondering why demons always looked so pretty.
"Hmm.. To tell you the truth, I didn't actually study the guitar."
Tatsuya replied easily after a tad moment of thought. It kind of surprised her. Hearing the answer so casually from someone she hailed as great made him swell a lot more than a genius.
The statements after explained the progress he made with his curiosity as fuel and finally, looking at Ri, he concluded with, "It's not natural talent, trust me on that. It's a development in which you have to strive for. Even though I could create my own guitar solos and all, I still cannot compose my own song. Though, let me tell you one thing: I have a cousin studying here, he's a drummer. He could probably explain this fanaticism better than I can."
Fanaticism was yet a new word to her. Though she heard it many times from the tube, she never really had a grasp of it. All she knew was girls were screaming and guys were hooting whenever the word fan was in the air.
"When you finally compose a song, please let me hear it." Risha replied before turning to her guitar and pressing the bottom three strings.
"D..."
And then she pressed the third, fourth and fifth strings, "and E." She smiled.

He only eyed her move her fingers through the first few frets of his cort dreadnought. Although both of the keys she had stated turned out to me something else, he still appreciated the fact that she tried.
"D major..." He started, "The D you played was an Fm6."
Again he had to take his stratocaster off of himself and place it carefully. So careful that he had to make second and third reassurance that the item wasn't going to fall. It was amongst the best guitars he had afterall.
He then reached his hands out to the girl's hand which was pressing on the strings. He corrected it with both of his hands, making her index finger press on the third string on the second fret, the ring finger on the first string on the second fret and her middle finger on the second string of the third fret.
"That is D." He said with the smirk again.
Using his right hand, he strummed the strings where he had made the girls press. Doing so for a few times to let it ring on her head. Then correcting the girl once more, making her index finger press the third string of the first fret, her middle finger on the fourth of the second fret and her ring finger on the fifth string of the second fret.
"And that is E."

Ri felt utterly like a child whose fingers knew nothing but disappoint her parents. She blushed as she watched Tatsuya gently place his stratocaster on a surface before placing her fingers on the right strings. She had yet to learn so much--including "much" was to keep herself from smiling and blushing with admiration whenever she set her eyes on that smirk.
Whenever that smile crossed his face, she felt her breathing stop for a second or two. But it was just that, an admiration for a smirk of a guitarist.
After arranging her fingers, he strummed it until it resonated in her ears. She nodded once to him to say "thank you" before strumming with her own fingers.
Her gray eyes remained on the vibrating strings before suddenly looking up at Tatsuya's face. "Tatsuya-san," she looked anxious, "am I keeping you up late?" She looked around for a clock. What time was it anyway?

He felt sort of weird suddenly tuitioning the girl with guitar. Never had he been tuitioning anyone. The only thing that have ever happened was him being tuitioned by the teacher at a subject. Funnily, it was never guitar. He was never tuitioned at guitar. And him tuitioning at something he had never been tuitioned at-- he wasn't even sure if he's teaching her correctly or not.
Either way, everyone starts with basics. Even he did. Whether it was a good way or a bad way of teaching, she seemed to don't mind.
Again, he looked up at her, as she shot him with another set of questions. It was a good question. He doesn't seem to be bothered with her company. Besides, it was related to guitars.
"Ermm... I usually come to deprive myself from sleeping here." He said, jokingly. Again, he gave her a shot with his wicked smiles. This time a mischevious grin. "I'm joking, I stay up later than this to sharpen my skills."
Sharpening his skills wasn't the correct term of it. But he didn't know what else to call it. It wasn't practice. It wasn't training either. Although he did have this feel of wanting to go brush up against someone like X-Japan's guitarist's skills. He doesn't have to be as good as him, even if he was close, he'd be really satisfied.

Was she asking too much? She never realized for she wasn't sensitive enough. She had the curiosity of a child and Tatsuya...well, Tatsuya had the patience of an adult--that she thought.
"Ermm... I usually come to deprive myself from sleeping here." His smirks were undefeated. "I'm joking, I stay up later than this to sharpen my skills."
Ri blushed in wonder. Kurosagi did joke...even though she was quite slow to get that it was a joke indeed. She wondered if he was the type who joked. And if he joked about not being irritated by her. Everything could be a mere play--act--to Tatsuya in her perspective.
Why was she so paranoid when with him? Maybe it was because of his greatness. He was so high it almost hurt just to sit close to him.
"No." She suddenly spoke. Her head shot up to check if Tatsuya heard her, embarrassed that he might have heard that she spoke to herself.
She was paranoid indeed.
Hearing that he was to stay up late, she thought of a reward...a payment, rather, to the "good-natured" guitarist who was tutoring her for free.
"I can get you a drink if you wish." She offered.

No?
If he heard her correctly, she had just said that word. No. What made her say it, he doesn't know. Then again, the tone wasn't very loud, there may be a chance that he was just hearing things. Even though he was sane enough not to do any of those stuff.
Even sane enough to keep his image, preventing it from being overlooked to be isane.
He made an audible sigh for he does not know much to what next to teach her. It was basically it. The rest is just to believe in herself and lend her his guitar. It'd be better if she had a guitar to practice with anyway. Besides, a dreadnought can always be replaced. He didn't care so much for cort. Although he does care a heck lot for Fender.
Her offer of a drink startled him. A drink? This late at night? If she wasn't caught, then he'd congratulate her.
"Nah" He declined, "I'd keep on low profile at this time of night, limiting drinks and trips to the toilet. Wouldn't wan'na be caught."
Not that it mattered, but at the same time it did. If he was caught then there's a change he might get banned from using the auditorium, which is the place he liked best. Something about the place just made him feel comfortable in it.
"Practice the strumming of the majors until you perfect it. It'd be much faster to learn that way. I'll wait."

Apparently, the next reply was a sigh from Tatsuya. Ri found herself blushing--again--an unsurprising act she made. Am I boring him?
"Nah, I'd keep on low profile at this time of night, limiting drinks and trips to the toilet. Wouldn't wan'na be caught."
How stupid could she really get?
"I'm sorry." Risha muttered.
A change of topic happened in a matter of seconds when Kurosagi said, "Practice the strumming of the majors until you perfect it. It'd be much faster to learn that way. I'll wait."
"...wait?" Ri beamed. There was always something magical about someone waiting for someone to do good. She looked down on the cort she held. "...practice with this..." She looked up at him, "may I?"

"Mm? Yeah. It's temporarily yours anyway." He said.
It's a cort. Only a cort. Besides, it's not like he's giving full posession of the guitar to the girl, whom he doesn't even know her name. Even with the facility letting him research details about a particular student since he's a Student Council member, he still thinks it was a good idea never to do such things if it's uneccessary. Besides, him knowing too much about someone would just make everyone label him. Whether it's good or not, he rather not be labeled-- no more than what he already have anyway.
Besides, the days where girls would fall and faint in front of him almost everyday was nearly gone, and he liked it. Those times stressed him, almost as if the plans were set that a few girls would go up to him and faint in front of him.
The title "Discipline Watcher" made a weight. Somewhat like all responsibilities of keeping the academy's students in good manners and such. If he was to walk past those unconcious bodies, he'd be in trouble.
His gray orbs were covered by long curled lashes for a second, then opened again, as if they were shiny marbles he gazed at the girl with the deep looking pupils due to the iris. It may be intimidating to some people. A lot of the old students like miss Vice President had gotten used to it though.
Back to the guitar-- If he doesn't lend her one, she wouldn't have one. Thus making her unable to practice, hence she will not be a whiz at guitar. Like how he planned her to be. She looks like the one with commitment and initiative. At least, to him, she looked like so. He was starting to like her.
"If you don't mind me asking," He said, "Is it stuffy here? Is it getting hot?"
Those questions were shot due to her face. It was red, as if she had been boiled under a high degrees celcius of water.

"Mm? Yeah. It's temporarily yours anyway." That was a normal reply that came from the guitarist Ri adored as an idol musician. He had the looks and the talent to boot. She bet inwardly that he was famous expecially to those random girls she saw in the Academy.
Ri had quite a thinking that people are categorized. And she knew the shrill-voiced female fanatics were the ones dying to be even the path of Kurosagi just to keep the soles of his shoes chaste.
For a moment of abashedly watching, Risha observed the man close his eyes and then open them to reveal a more dramatic, drawing pair of convex lenses that resembled his eyes.
Wait, they were his eyes. They looked so animatedly charming it felt like they weren't real.
"Thank you." She replied, clutching the cort closer to her body.
"If you don't mind me asking, Is it stuffy here? Is it getting hot?"
Hot? Ri wondered at Tatsuya's inquiry. She was reminded once again that her body was unnaturally cold to the touch. Besides that, she didn't feel a change in the temperature. After much looking at Kurosagi, she realized the folly she found herself in.
"N-no, it's fine." Ri suddenly stood up, still holding onto the guitar. If she were to stay there any longer, she'd die of hyperthermia. God, Tatsuya raised her tempature too much now, didn't he?
"Thank you, Tatsuya-san." She bowed a countless times before spinning to head to the door. She stopped midway and then turned back before heading to the case of the cort. She smiled apologetically before slipping the guitar in, giving Kurosagi wary glances if she was doing the right thing.

Enough peeking from under the lashes now. He seriously did look up this time, eyeing and even manouevering his posture to follow the girl's every movement. Like a lion hunting down a prey? Something like that. His orbs locked on to one thing, which was her. She had thanked him, started to pack the dreadnought back into the soft case it came in with.
"Well you're certainly most welcomed." He started, goggled eyes. His sockets shaped his marble-looking eyes, making it look round. "But I thought you're going to stay and practice. I mean, it's not like I'm insomniac, nor am I a hypermaniac, but I can sacrifice things to get more time. One of them is sleep."
A long unneccessary speech that only meant one thing: 'stay, practice and I will wait.' He couldn't guarantee that he actually would stay up and she would be practicing in front of his eyes. Although he did have this, what you would call a gift; he sleeps. Completely not waking up until the right or wanted time. Although when it comes to music, he could be amazing. In which he is, but a lot of people just doesn't realize.
The dreaded sigh escaped his lips as he losened his shoulders, almost slouching, but his back was too straight for it to be a slouch. His eyelids came down, making his eyes not go goggled anymore. Just to the shape of almonds, just like it was beforehand.
"That is... entirely your choice though. Although I did want to... observe your play a bit more. Well then, tomorrow, same time-- twelve. Don't be late."

Risha's sensitivity was getting exaggerated. Take Kurosagi's gaze, for example.
She knew he was eyeing her though she didn't know why. Maybe he believed she was one clumsy girl who could hurt his guitar anytime now. Maybe he was thinking if she was really a girl with such boyish hair and figure. Maybe he was laughing inwardly, thinking, "I got another girl falling for me! Hehe!"
No! Tatsuya-san isn't like that! Ri thought with shame. She was making up things in her head once more. She was most paranoid around the guy sitting behind her. He simply sat there but his body exuded some sort of cool essence.
"Well you're certainly most welcomed." Risha realized that she stopped moving until she heard him speak once more. She couldn't help thinking that he sang even while simply talking. She continued shuffling the guitar into the case though she wasn't making any clear progress.
"But I thought you're going to stay and practice. I mean, it's not like I'm insomniac, nor am I a hypermaniac, but I can sacrifice things to get more time. One of them is sleep."
Sleep registered slow in her head. What was she doing outside her dorm room again?
Ah, yes, she wanted milk to aid her insomnia due to nostalgia.
Risha turned, her gray eyes fixed on Tatsuya's round eyes that looked cute rather than handsome and alluring for a few seconds. She didn't imagine those eyes could be that round. Her hand was frozen inside the soft case as she secured that the case was caught by the guitar neck end.
Those gray orbs that showed dullness and passiveness suddenly warmed up. A smile crawled to her face.
"That is... entirely your choice though. Although I did want to... observe your play a bit more. Well then, tomorrow, same time-- twelve. Don't be late."
The smile remained unchanged as she watched those marble eyes lower and relax to the usual cool gaze. An inaudible sigh escaped her cat lips before she blushed once more and zipped the soft case.
Tatsuya was...incredibly sweet. That was at least for her. She didn't care if he just wanted to assess his teaching capability by watching the neophyte play away.
"Tatsuya-san," she faced him, taking one more gaze as if she was trying to memorize the guitarist's features. "Thank you." Risha bowed long, her eyes fixed at the floor. She still could feel his gaze on her. She blushed harder.
Ri finally raised her head, and for once, a pretty smile was on her lips. Her smile in front of him for once was not of shame. Her intense blush was unchanged as she parted her lips but no sound came. She just stared at him.
After two seconds of silence, the battle within her was done. Her timidness won.
"Good night." Ri, with her hands already around the soft case, turned away from Tatsuya, pursing her lips in half regret-half relief.
It was more than admiration for the pagan god of guitars.
Risha took silent steps towards the door, careful not to look back.
She liked Kurosagi Tatsuya.
