Lace wandered into the school courtyard in her unifom. She hated the skirt but it was a necessary evil, at least the top was black. She took a seat in one of the benches set underneath the trees and opened up her biology book to study.

Jon wandered in a few minutes after Lace. Like his friend he a few style issues regarding their school uniforms. Though he did not protest to wearing them in class, this being attributed to the fact that he was at least sitting and not readily viewable, his opinion of the red flannel shorts which came above his scrawny knees was one doomed to live the rest of its life in his mind. He stopped before Lace and placed a single kiss atop her new mask. He smiled briefly before taking a seat beside her.

Lace blushed, though it was probably hard ot tell beneath her mask. An acorn fell from the tree and bopped Jon on the head. "How were your classes today?" She asked without pause to comment on the unfortunate strike.

Jon rubbed the spot of his head which had been treated roughly by the acorn's fall. He bent to pick it up and toyed with it a bit, shifting it from visible to invisible. "They were okay. Nothing extraodinarily uplifting. Yours?"

The cloaked figure entered the school, his footsteps silent as he made his way towards the school building. This was his mission. To eradicate the building of the school and to destroy any future obstacles to his master's mission for vengeance. His black cloak covered his whole body, even his face. And soon enough, he was halfway to reaching his targer. How he was gonne destroy the school? Well, that's not exactly his job. He was simply going to be a distraction, so to say. His master was going to destroy it himself, and another serveant was going to be as back-up. The other, well, he wasn't exactly as loyal, but at least he would help take down a few of the students. Now, he wasn't gonna kill them. He was simply going to hurt them to a state that they wouldn't be of much trouble.
Then, a student came towards the cloaked figure, laughing. "Hey, dude. It ain't Halloween." As the student laughed, the figure slowly lifted his head. In the next second, his arm was stretching out, the student falling backwards. The cloak had moved away from the hand, revealing the leather gloves covered fist. Then, those hands slowly moved to where his neck was and he pulled, the fabric simply giving away. Then, the figure was finally revealed. Daisuke Matoni. No, wait. There was something different about him.
He was wearing a sleeveless leather shirt, mostly for protection, and his cargo pants were of different colour. Black with red stripes. Red as blood. Red as his hair. His eyes would normally be red due to the contact lenses he wore. But this time, he wore none. And his eyes were as red as pure blood. His shoes were black. Adidas, probably, but it didn't matter much. His red eyes scanned the courtyard, then lifting both arms, he shouted out.
"WHO WOULD DARE STOP ME?!"
He put down his hand, waiting for the first group of student who would fight back. Well, they had to, cause Daisuke was going to attack them nonetheless. Well, a mind-controlled Daisuke, that is. Yes, he was being mind-controlled. Somewhere in his head, in the place where one would call the mind, Daisuke was fast asleep, another entity taking over his body to do this sinful deeds.

Jaya strolled into the Courtyard leisurely. Since class had been over for more than 5 minutes, he had already successfully changeed back into his day clothes; head to toe white, from his plain slacks to his mandarin-collared shirt. And in a touch of colorful (yes, please pardon the pun) flair, he was also wearing a long mantle over his shoulders. By far too large to be a scarf, it bordered on the cape-like while still preserving the symetry of the outfit. The only hints that the outfit was anything other than purely ornamental were the hood that hung limply from the neck of the garment, and the string of pouches that lined his waist. Sharply contrasting with the rest of the outfit was the grey messenger bag he usually wore, currently concealin the atrocious school uniform. Upon spotting the budding couple, he felt a oportunity arize, and seized the irony with gusto. He sat down directly next to Lace, his pale outfit contrasting with the black character presented by the other. "Still tasting like turpentine?"

"Maybe a little less than normal." Lace responded with a meaningful stare at Jon. "But just your bad luck I think there's a crazy up there, why don't you go check it out and leave us alone?" Lace suggested and moved her hand over to Jon's.

Jon gave Jaya a quick smile and gestured toward the shouting. "If we're lucky maybe you'll scare him off. If not," returning Lace's glance with one of his own, "well, we'll hope..."

"But why would I want to go anywhere? The two of you are soooooo much fun to be around, I'd hate to miss a single miniscule second of it," Jaya retorted, sinking his socioemotional claws smoothly into the soft underbelly in all relationships created by social niceties. It was tougher than most of the ones he had done this to, but challenges tend to be more fun.

3 people were at the bench, talking away and having fun, which, of course, pissed Daisuke off. He gritted his teeth, clenching his fist tightly. And then, he jerked his right hand, and two rows of five spikes each grew out from his forearm. He let out another shout, and then placed his right hand forward, his right spiked arm above his chest. And then, he swung that arm towards his right, three spikes shooting towards the trio at the bench. No, it wasn't aimed for all three of them, but towards the feet of the girl. If she was lucky, she'd move away before the spikes would cut or impale her foot. This, undoubtly, would attract their attention and piss them off at the same time. Good.
Daisuke drew his right arrm back, eight spikes still present at his arm. He stood casually, then moved his eyes and found another victim. A blonde-haired girl. Daisuke grinned, then placed his left leg in front, reeling his right arm back. And then, he pushed himself forward with his left leg, letting his right leg lift from the ground as punched at the air, throwing another spike at her. Well, Daisuke wanted to have fun first, so he made sure that the spike wouldn't hit her. Just close enough to scare her. Seven spikes left, and a lot lot lot more stored in his body. His eyes travelled back to the trio, the cold-emotioned orbs staring at them, wondering how they would react.

Lace avoided impalement, not through virtue of her own luck, but by Daisuke's bad luck. His shouts and motions had unluckily attracted Lace's attention and she saw the line of spikes heading toward her. Lace quickly jerked her feet from the ground up onto the bench as the pavement erupted below her and a large pointy spine appeared where her feet had been a moment before. More incredulous than scared, Lace cocked her head to one side, mouth agape. While pranks were not uncommon at the Academy a full assault was rare. She stood up on the bench and hoped to coax her opponent into coming closer to her with a taunt, "Hey, if you're going to attack a defensless girl why don't you at least come right up to me and fight like a man!" Hoping to further enrage her assailant and to clue Jon and Jaya in to her intentions Lace added "Well do ya feel lucky, punk? Well! DO YA?"

Jaya was more than slightly taken aback by the projectile spines which flew by him, missing by an amount that was entirely to little for comfort. Glancing sharply in the direction they had come, he was shocked to find Daisuke standing there, with more spines at the ready. He then stood up, forcing himself to relax the deathgrip around his right wrist that he had created with his left hand. Deep breaths, and cohesive thoughts woudl have to be the order of the day... maybe if they taked fast enough, everyone could be kept from doing something rash... Lace's shout rang out across the courtyard. So much for peacable solutions. Jaya's hand slid to the pouch on his left hip, and prepred for the worst. He silently prayed that Lace was just acting, and was not as upset as she seemed.

Daisuke wasn't such a mindless brute. Ture, he was being mind-controlled, bu that didn't mean he had an IQ of a cockroach. He stood his ground, placed his right hand over his chest again. The tree spikes which he had shot out grew back. Taking another step forward, he swung his right hand out, a brown spike darting towards the patch of grass that was in front of her feet. He too had noticed the guy at her side putting his hand in a pouch. Daisuke wasn't gonna take any chances. He opened his clench fist, a half-inch spike shooting outwards from his hand and towards his hand. It wasn't meant to impale him, though. He only managed to grave the top side fo his wrist, exactly what he was planning.
He stood straight once more, another brown spike growing from his forearm to make another set of ten spikes. This was getting boring. He wondered how the other 3 were faring. Hiei definitely got the fun target. He was going after the most important student in the school. The current school president, Ragen. He had to take all the fun. In fact, Daisuke was nothing but a distraction. But he had no problem with that.

Jon had been joking around with Lace and Jaya when the first barrage of spikes had been thrown at their feet. Jon whipped his head toward their attacker but was unfortunately whipped back around when Lace had called out to the boy. For a moment, Jon's jaw had dropped. He had certainly not expected for Lace, of all people, to encourage someone to attack her. True she would be able to wreak havoc if the boy with Spike's was close enough...but would that be enough? Here's hoping... The whistling of another loosed spike reached Jon's ears just as it made a small cut on Jaya's wrist. Jon welled with anger and something very similiar to fear. He turned his body to face their foe and instead of taking him head on, he walked slowly behind Lace.
"Dude. Projectiles? Can't you do anything cooler? A sword? Maybe a shield....God knows you'll need it." Just as the words spilled from his mouth Jon saw something move in the corner of his eyes. He shifted his gaze for just a second, but it was all he needed to see the blonde girl standing just on the edges of the courtyard. This was yet another thing he hadn't counted on...with someone else who wasn't close by, what was to stop the crazed alice boy from hurting her?

The flying bone sliced cleanly across the top of Jaya's right hand. He winced, hoping that it would not prove to be a debilitating wound. Seizing onto the top card fo the deck with his first two fingers, (his pinkie wasn't quite closing right), Jaya focused, causing the deck to explode again with light, a blood red sword once again erupting from it's surface. However, there was no time for a flourish or a pose today. Instead, he merely clasped the base of the grip in his left hand to compensate, and set himself against their projectile wielding opponent. Jaya was suddenly struck by the reality of the situation. They were about to do combat for all seriousness. There was no save point, no continues, no rerolls, and no orchestra. Just the sickening warmth of blood dripping down his white sleve, and the crackle of black lightning along the blade. (OOC: I'm not trying ot be a one-trick pony here. I have shuffled the deck many times since I last drew from it, and then drew 2 cards, since I was under the influence of bad luck. It just seemed to me that with the wound I had taken, that the sword was the least benificial of the cards I drew.)

A sword? Wow. This was getting interested. Good. Daisuke grinned as he went closer to the swordsman, but keeping a good distance away from Lace. He was aware of what Alice she had. A bad-luck Alice that Daisuke needed to keep away from. From where he was, he placed his right arm across his chest, then swung it to the side in front of him. Two spikes shot out, one at side of Jon's shin, the other at Jaya's hand. Right now, Lace and Jaya were his most dangerous threats. He was aware about Sonja's useless attempts to render him useless, but he would take care of her later. As long as she didn't attack Daisuke, she was of no threat to him.
