Appearance:

Nothing in unusual in Saint's appearance except for the thin scar at his nape that reminds him of the orphanage where he came from. He is of normal build with slight muscles on his arms.

Being born in London, he maintained a porcelain skin. His face has soft angles, comparable to angels in paintings. His hair is unkempt and long, reaching his shoulders. And in one way, he can be called beautiful.

He can always be found with polo shirts and a pair of pants. If he gets fashionable, he picks checkered stuff to add design to his attire. One distinct thing in him is a silver name plate bracelet around his right wrist.

The way his eyes look at the person seems to be in a swooping maneuver. It's like his view passes on the floor and then goes up to the one speaking to him. He also has this one sided smile that never fails to show his amusement.

Alice:

Alice of Animosity

Intro: Nothing particularly triggers Saint's Alice. He activates it whenever he wills it. It is a short-range Alice (about five meter radius) and it can hold a person at a time.

Mechanics: The Alice of Animosity grows in strength if the victim remains in Saint's power.

Saint can hold an individual by looking into their eyes (and of course, the individual must look back). When the victim looks back, it'd be difficult to look away and move. The sign that his Alice is already working are the following:

At first contact: irritation

Minutes of contact: agitation, restlessness and anger

Further minutes of contact: Terrible feeling of wanting to go away; sudden depression

And after about ten minutes, the victim begins to relive the terrors of his past.

(The time depends on how much power he exerts. The time given there is the low-level power exertion.)

Saint does not make illusions of the past in the victim's head. He just meddles with one's brain and intensifies the emotions connected to the horrific event. (Think of the emotions flowing into Saint's body and then coming out of his eyes [the emotions now are magnified a hundred times] and then into the victim's eyes.)

Prolonged exposure to Saint's Alice (about thirty minutes) may result to paranoia and psychiatric depression. Worse cases are amnesia and insanity.

However, if Saint also uses his Alice for a long time [more than fifteen minutes of continuous use], he can experience the same effects [feeling of horror and depression] after ending the usage of his Alice. Another draw back is that, every time he uses his Alice, he gets severe head aches and some neurons in his brain die.

His Alice can only be used continuously for twenty-minutes of low-level exertion. High-level exertion can only be used for about ten.

The weakness of his Alice is that he can only victimize one at a time, allowing other people interfere. There are basically three ways of interfering:

One: If another person attacks Saint.

Two: If another person attacks the victim.

Three: If another person blocks Saints view and looks into Saint's eyes to save the previously victimized person.

If the interference was caused by one and two, the natural drawbacks occur such as head ache and weakening. If the third causes disruption, the Alice still flows undisturbed.

Personality:

Saint is cool, calm and collected. He is smart, rich and not so much into girls but he has a thing for gullible ones. He's a little sporty but not good enough to be a varsity player. He likes noodles and fruit drinks. He may be silent, he may start conversations--all depends on his mood.

He likes freedom and risks but knows his limits. He has a mentality to protect those with him--maybe a friend or stranger.

He dislikes flames. He has some kind of fear of it.

Background:

Raised in an orphanage supported by a church, Saint had no idea of his birth and parents. All that was said to him was, he was brought in by a young man who never returned.

There was no sign of oddity in him during his first few years. However, a tragedy changed everything.

For some unknown reason, the orphanage and the church caught fire. Half of the children were killed and Saint (about eleven) was one of the few who were saved and taken away to another orphanage. When they were examined, Saint was diagnosed with partial amnesia.

When a doctor asked his name he said he couldn't remember. But soon after he asked the doctor, "what's the church's name?"

The doctor replied, "Saint James."

He replied, "then my name is Saint."

After that day, the caretakers of the children discovered that Saint is getting more depressed everyday and almost all the children are violently reacting near him. The situation worsened when the children began screaming and running and crying in the orphanage whenever Saint looked at them.

They sent him to the hospital and he was just diagnosed with major depression.

To Saint, however, he knew there was something about him. He could feel energy rising in him whenever he thought of making someone sad. And it succeeded every time. There came his discovery that he had an abnormal skill.

One night, before he was sent to sleep, he heard a conversation about a school that helps unusual people like him. It excited him and the next morning, he proposed it to his doctor to go there. Thinking that it would be better, the doctor sent him to the Academy when he was thirteen.

Family History:

A young unknown man brought him to the orphanage. Other details, unknown.

How long is a 'long time'? More than the 30-minute sanity limit? Or simply more than 10 minutes? Do the effects occur in time with his victim [happen at the same time]?
Question: Can the eye contact break if something/someone tries to break it? If it can, is there a side-effect? For how long can this last?
