Appearance:
Shouji, a 13-year-old that has long, purple locks which he keeps neatly tied-up with a red ribbon, has peculiar fuchsia-colored eyes. He has this approachable feel that surrounds him due to his gentle features. He doesn’t smile very often, but it doesn’t mean that he is cold-hearted nor dense. He always makes sure that his long, black-stringed choker that he bought for himself on his birthday is always wrung around his neck. He prefers to wear anything comfortable that would make it easier for him to move around in, especially the ones you can wear from the moment after you took a shower in the morning until you change before you go to sleep. On special occasions (like a party night out), he would wear his favorite black vest with ebony pants to match with it.

Shouji, as a child, had this instinct of analyzing people’s body movements. When it comes to playing with his fellow orphans, he was able to predict each of his playmate’s ticklish spots, causing them to surrender to him all the time. At first, he thought that this was just simple child’s play until he came across a man who wanted to adopt him. The man took him in and raised him up with rigorous discipline that he needed to fully appreciate his Kendo training. His step-father, the master, had thought that Shouji had the potential to be his heir. However, he may have the discipline and strong-will of a Kendo student, he lacks physical strength. This disappointed the master. Until one day, the master asked his other students to spar with one another while Shouji was left behind to watch. Seeing the last two students standing, he analyzed their positions like he did when he was little and focused on the fight. When one of the students was about to hit the other seemingly weaker one in the abdominal area, he shouted: “Hit the left shoulder!” and the weaker student did, causing the other one to lose his balance and tumble down. The master, at first thought that it was just coincidence, but Shouji’s “outbursts” became more and more accurate as time goes by. Shouji may have the power to see through people’s flaws, but he just doesn’t have the physical strength to bring them down.

Personality: Soft-spoken.
He doesn’t talk about his life much, but if you would ask him properly, he would answer. He normally would wait for the person to talk to him first before he would follow the flow of the conversation. He isn’t much of a talker, but he is a very good listener and is always approachable if a person needs advice. If he doesn’t know how to deal with a person’s situation, he would be there for comfort and support. Don’t let his “nice” attitude fool you, he can be pretty serious when it comes to certain business due to his Kendo training.

Background:
He has been in the orphanage as long as he could remember. He didn’t have much friends which caused him to be a little reserved. He didn’t speak much with his fellow orphans but he played with them anyway. Maybe the “distance” was caused by his peculiar eye color – fuchsia. A male with fuchsia orbs? Quite an unusual predicament. When he was at the age of 7, he over-heard the nuns that were in charge of the orphanage while they were sifting through his registration papers. The nuns talked about how he was brought here to the orphanage. When he was still an infant, a young woman asked the nuns if they could take care of the child instead of her since she was a prostitute. She bore a child with a frequent client that had “Hayase” for a surname that she loved very dearly. Apparently, she didn’t want her son to see how she works for a living and traumatize him. She didn’t have any other choice. Despite this, he tried and successfully was able to suppress his trauma over this matter. The only thing that changed is that he is now more distant to his peers because he feels tainted due to him being a son of a woman who goes to bed with different men. He thinks he is tainted and unclean. When he was finally taken in by a Kendo instructor, he became more disciplined but his physical strength never improved. Only his ability to point out an opponent's weak areas was enhanced. With this in mind, he told his step-father that he wasn't worthy to be the heir of the school and decided to live on his own at a young age of 13. From that point on, he searched for his true purpose why his mother haven't aborted him in the first place. He thought that he should finish his education first so he tried out for different schools... and ended up here as the last entrance examination he would take.

Father: Unknown. Only that his father’s surname is Hayase.
Mother: A young woman who was forced to become a prostitute.
Brothers: None that he had heard of.
